So I recently got back from my trip to Old Maple Road. I started at Hwy 50 and went west. When I first started the road was a little rough and there were a few homes. but that was all in the first mile. The rest of it was all sweet curves and fresh pavement. it was pretty fun. best part was that there wasnt a single car on that road the entire time I was there. took about 7 generous minutes to complete. overall I recommend it!

Ok so I think we should definitely try to meet up the weekend after this one. Either Saturday the 27th or Sunday the 28th. Will probably be the last time I meet up with you guys until my next semester at UNCW. I will be leaving during the summer for training and to move back in with my parents until school starts. I will also be going to the next cars and coffee as well so let's get some 8s out there! Everyone post up their thought about these two meet ups.

 

1. when is the next cars and coffee again?

and 2. I leave to go back to GA for the weekend next friday

 

I think we should hit Old Maple Hill Road this weekend. its the best road we have near us. I was talking to some crotch rocket ridwrs I work with and they all say its the best area.

Should be good for the 27th if anything is on for then. My 8 is going under for repairs on the 22nd, but should have it back by then.

 

The next C&C is May 4th at the BMW dealer. How long are you going to be gone?

I can't this weekend. I have to go up to Raleigh to run the PFT. We could always hit it up if we meet up the 27th or 28th. When are you leaving?

Ok I guess we can meet up (minus royalfitz) the 27th or 28th to go for a cruise/out to eat or whatever and then again (minus Fernado this time) at cars and coffee. Sound good to everybody?

It must be a pretty nice road if you are gong back for more. We must take a trip out there during our next meet!

 

I had a blast again. This time I went faster and faster. Highly suggest we all take a trip out there. And again, it was completely empty.

Hey fellas!! Obviously I'm not from Wilmington but I did go to DGRR and we really had a great time!! I got to meet a lot of guys on the forums...were any Wilmy's there? The "Dragon" was an experience all its own...I may be hanging out at the beach on next vacay so if you see the Phantom Blue with black rims (teal lip trim)...yea, that's me Don't be shy, I wont bite......hmmmm......to hard

I put 20 bucks in yesterday strapped my GoPro to the front of my car right under the emblem and drove around in some little backroads..

(GoPro gets you attention btw..)

 

oh and must be nice seeing that BHR ignition in your siggy now lol

Well we lost a Wilmington RX8 owner today. Mxer657 sold his 2004 VR and is moving on. Maybe the new owner will hook up with us on the forums. BTW if anyone needs coils and plug wires or know someone who does...BUY MINE!

What's up guys, hope all is well in Wilmy. I'll be headed back before May 20th. Probably the 17th or something like that. I'm pumped about that old Maple Road, been watching videos on the Tubez. Spent some time Tuesday changing all of my coils and doing the dewall of the stock intake box, since I don't have a CAI. The car runs so much smoother than before, mostly because of the coils, but the intake mod combined with my exhaust gives a lower more throatier sound. I thought I wouldn't see much of a difference but I was pleasantly surprised. Next small little project is the plastidip after seeing Ryan and John's emblems.

 

Yeah I am pretty stoked about Old Maple as well. I just changed my coils too. Finally bought the BHR kit! I love it and it makes quite the difference. I need to redo my emblems because the mazda one on the back is chipping. I think sometime at the end of this summer I am going to get the holes on the front bumper filled in along with the spot for the corner lights and get the bumper repainted. I hate having those big open spots where the corners go, but I can't run them!
