Currently in Jacksonville for easter break and I went to an RX7 meet last night with a buddy of mine that owns an FC. It was a nice little meet. Had 3 FCs, a nice FB, and my RX8. Two other guys showed up that are currently working on their 7s. It was real cool and I had a great time. Talked a lot about the differences between the 7s and my 8. They all want to meet up again maybe during the summer. Once of the guys there, Macho, is supposedly really well known on the RX7 forums. From what everyone said at the meet, he is an awesome builder and has supplied Jacksonville with some well built rotaries. We had a new civic si try and do a little pull in the parking we were in. He locked up his brakes and almost curbed his car. Was funny, but ridiculous. Anyway, it was sick and I'm hoping next time we can get some more 8s there. I felt so out of place...

Wow, epic fail for that si. My right headlight lost against a doe this morning. Good 'ol NC wildlife. Speaking of DGRR, didn't an 8 win best in show recently?

 

Maybe plan on getting together on the 13th? i looked at the weather and they are predicting to be around 74ish. but you know how the media is...

Sounds good to me. True with that weather, 8% chance of rain turns into T-storms...

 

I wish I could join you guys on the 13th. Have to participate in my mother-in-law's birthday. I do start my week vacation May 6th though!

 

My 8 has been out of commission for a while now. the bracket that houses my clutch pedal snapped and tore beyond repair. but hopefully tomorrow my new pedal assy should be here. just in time for the beautiful weather. cant wait to meet up

Looks like we will meet up somewhere and talk for a bit then head to hooters for some grub! I am discussing times with royalfitz. I'm free until 6, whats everyone else think for the time to meet up?

 

Alright looks like we are going to meet in the chili's parking lot at around noon. Then we can talk for a bit and convoy to hooters. How's that sounds?

How was the turn out? I meant to show, but the kid had a soccer game in Sneads Ferry.

 

It was just royalfitz, Fernando, and I. It was cool though. Always fun to talk to other owners. We met up for a bit then went to hooters for some grub. I am thinking we should meet up again in 2 weekends before Fernando leaves.

 

meeting up again would be great. definitely would like to go on a cruise. still not sure where the best places would be

Yeah I am not too sure either. I have heard old maple hill rd in Burgaw is a nice backroad. Its about 40 minutes away though. I looked it up on google earth and it looks promising.
