TGPR Track Rental
Howdy Track ho's!
Trackaddict and I are renting Little Talledega (TGPR) on Monday Jan 14th.
We have enough committments that it is a done deal.
Long and short is if anyone is interested, there are a couple spots open. Probably not for long. About 9 people total will go, give or take.
130$ each. Deal is we need solid commitment backed by cash if you want in.
We will have a lead follow in the morning for anyone not familiar with the track, and you can probably get an occasional instructor to ride with you. Having said that, this is not a sponsored organized event. No corner workers, no flaggers, and no dedicated instruction. If you have never been on track, this might not be the best time.
If you have, You should get an assload of track time.

Although we won't have corner workers and EV, this will be a safe event as we limit the number of cars on track at once. We will have no more than 3 cars on track at the same time giving lots of space to each driver. This keeps it safe. TGPR is also a wide open track with lots of runoff everywhere. It is a great place to work on specific skills or to just learn what your car can do. I think I learned more at TGPR when we rented it out 2 years ago than any other event.
This is gonna be great. A small group, lots of track time. We will meet at the track at 7:30am. Track goers green at 8am. End of day is 5pm. In between 8am and 5pm will be green except for as short a lunch break as we can take.

i hope so as well.. as far as exeperience.. im wanting to get more.. il probably just spectate the thing and get on the track when i get it alone.. or on a spaced out level.. i get nervous lol.. mostly im just looking to do track times and not racing.. im remember you too.. i tihnk lol i cant quite place a name with a face though bc all of yall were from georgia

Matt - thanks for your interest. We are pretty close to our max number of participants right now. We want to limit it to 10 to maximize track time for everyone. I believe you can still get in. I am taking money right now. PM me for paypal info.
This is not a racing event. No racing will be tolerated, nor will aggressive driving. We will have 3 cars on track at once and space them out to start. Passing in the beginner and intermediate level will be limited to the straights. we want everyone to have fun and stay safe.

That is ashame, like TA said, this is probably one of the most cost effective days you can have at the track, with TONS of one on one time. Not to mention, you get TONS of track time 
.

All systems are go!!!
The track day event is full. We ended up with 9 participants which is absolutely ideal. In the mix are 4 RX8s, 1 RX7, 2 Miatas, 1 Integra, 1 Exige S. The weather will be awesome. Cool enough for max power but not bone chilling. Should be dry too. Preliminary track schedule gives everyone six 25 min sessions and a 20 min session. I am figuring that by 3pm, it will be pretty close to open track and no one will go home with any sort of energy left.
If this event is truly a success, I will consider organizing another one just like it.

Swoope, absolutely. Bit of a drive for ya, or I would have hit you up in the first place. As TA said, this looks like something we might want to do on regular basis.
