I have Idea. There is a resturant called Quaker Steak and Lube on 49th st and U.S. 19 thursday night is import night there. We can come rolling in with our 8's and take it over. :D Just a thought.

there's nothing wrong with the 6. there are plans for a turbo all wheel drive version in 05 or 06!

 

yea its called the mazdaspeed6, and i dont have ANY problems with my car... I love it as much as the first day i got it.

Saw an silver 8 MS kitted on the causeway going west while I was going east on Sunday. Anyone? Looked really tight on the move.

 

usually on satuday nights i go to Gandy either at the Sonic on the Tampa side or just over the bridge on the St. Pete side. last weeked we had 4 generations of wankles all parked in a row. i would have taken a picture but my camera phone doesn't have a flash. i get there around 10pm (at the sonic first then over the bridge if it gets slow). if anyone decides to join me give me at call on your way to find out where i am. 813 495 2522 i like the idea Thetitanium8 had about crowding out the tuner crowd. lets do it any time we can. give a show of force. and do some recruting. if anyone can create fliers or at least something we could download and print that would be a good way of getting new members. i mentioned in another thread making chapters with i.d. cards. do any of my ideas sound worthy of trying?

it wasn't a meet per say. they just showed up. a lot of street racers go there aka hondas but it was one of those days when there happened to be very gen of the 7 and one 8 show up.

 

so umm like, people other then ricers hang out around gandy on the weekend nights? dont mind me, i only have been in tampa for a few months and still dont know any places to go on the weekends.

 

i was there last night, met up with bigblockbeater... we were the only rx-8's around. The rest were mostly civics and eclipses.

The rx-8 draws a lot of attention though

jason i think i saw you i was at the red roof inn right off of the highway. there is ma mazda dealer right down the street. i was eating at carabbas ( i think that is how ya spell it) by the way i have a blue rx8

i beeped at an rx8 leaving the area and saw a silver one with teh mazda speed wing

 

saturday nights just on the st pete side of the gandy bridge is a good place to hang out. the sherriff who has that beat is real cool. so long as we don't do anything stupid (we being the fast and furious wannabe's). JasonHamilton's 8 is killer. he has the wing i want! Jason is right about these 8's turning heads! it was nice being the only one out there but it would be much better to have a gang representing.

 

see, the only problem i have now is... everyone thinks i want to race...and i drive VERY calm. I dont need the "attention" or the need to turn heads. I think im getting old.

...and nothing wrong with that. I 'personally" dont want the attention. I like to pass through life un-noticed when I can.

 

Good. I wanted to be #8 anyway. Representing the Bay area from Dade City. This is my 1st post on the RX-8 forum coming from the MX-6 forum. I just moved into my new black 8 from an MX-6 four months ago. MUCH nicer ride.
Where does everyone meet usually?

 

welcome to the club, getz. we have been trying to decide where to meet. i usually go to south tampa on Gandy blvd. on saturday nights. there is a sonic there where the ricers meet up. a couple mazda's show up sometimes. rx-7s too. usually start around 22:00hrs.

 

Meet tonight at Sonic? was there last night with a bunch of MX-5s. will stop by tonight at 10ish.
