I agree with RWD. That could be the worst parking lot in the world.

 

Sorry, It's been years since I've actually driven around that lot I thought of it cuz i drive by it eveyday after work...........Well how bout the sweetbay lot?

 

Tomorrow I am going to try go scout the area and see what I can figure out.

Maybe I'll try out my charm on mall management and see if I can get us hooked up on something.

The worst thing that can happen is they will laugh in my face.

For all those attending or any other who are thinking they might show up. Please bring your significant other. I just had a 30 minute conversation with my wife who thinks that all we are going to do is stand in the parking lot and look at each other cars.

I spent this time explaining that its about the community as much as it is about our rides.

OK so I went there today and parking will be at a premium. They do have a upper parking garage that is about 100 yards from the entrance to Bay Street where the bars are at. Also there is parking directly underneath. There were far less cars under then out in front.

In fact if you go past the Bay street entrance and hang a left you can go about a 100 ft and make a right into a parking area. Turn right before the security booth and there was some parking that was empty under some industrial fans.

I park there this afternoon it looks like the bes place.

That being said. The blue martini is having their little black dress party Saturday night and it is a very strict dress code. Dress shirt, slacks and shoes.

I did talk to the hostess at the place next door. Bar Louie they said we could call ahead and reserve a table. But I need a definite head count by Wednesday night.

So I need to know if you are making it for sure and if you are bringing someone.

maybe you might want to post on www.flrx8club.net, there are lots of members in tampa that go to that site. It died down alot lately but you can always try to add to the roster. I have texted a couple old members to see if they want to come. If they do, I would not worry about adding them to the table.

International Mall, at a place called Bar Louie. It is located at the far North West corner of the Mall. We will have a table reserved under RX8club. Here is a link to the place.

If you want you can have your car valet right out in front. But I suggested that we park in the park garage underneath the bar.

If you are out in front where the valet attendant is you go north toward the stop sign. Make a right go about 100 ft make a another right into the parking area. Then turn right one more time before the security booth and the parking will be straight ahead.

 

So whats the final count of people showing up?

 

Looks like at least five 8's will be there making at least 8 of us to sit and have drinks. Those are confirms. Now if other show I can only hope so.

I spent the day today dodging the rain drops. So I could pull off the mirrors and the side strakes to sand and paint them black again.

Figured while I had the door panels off I would install new speakers as well.

 

Not able to make it.

Sorry had to drop car off at the stealership due to the fact A/C only blew out heat and it too much to drive around getting double blasted by heat.

Havent had car for a day now and we will see what happens today.
