well your hood is going to be wrinkled i'm sure. so you'll need that and the bumper. i'm going to guess roughly around 2k after paint and everything being replaced.

I've never had to deal with insurance so I don't even know wtf to do let alone get anything MS out of this

 

oh man here is what you do. you get estimates from different shops (go to reputable places like Gene Perez not cheap places). then meet the adjuster. then when he cuts you a check (minus your deductible obviously) you can do what you like with it. IE buy the painted ms bumper

this does depend on how messed up the car is under the bumper. if you have any bent mounting areas or mechanical damage in the hood release then you will have to get some work done at a shop. Gene Perez is an awesome body shop to work with. They might even be able to get better prices on ms direct from mazda or whatever distributor they use.

Nope I'm gonna get a few estimates than see if I want to use the insurances body shop. And the chirp is still just a chirp only now I can blame it on the accident

 

Anyone have a meet set up for early December yet? Ive been on the road more than I planned (3 months) and I should be home for a week or so in early December.

 

Alright had a pretty busy tech session to day and decided to do a little body work and to remove my useless Vfad to hold out the week so I can drive around to work and a few body shops for estimates.

Damn jeremy those pics look better. How did chris' screens come out? If they look good I may consider doing mine. When you get your bumper fixed we will have to have another session. Hopefully chris posts pics of his drag queen halloween party he had tonight.

 

I agree. I'm gonna stay OEM for now so I'll drop the car off mid-week to the body shop. I didn't get to see how they look with the bumper on since i had to run to work. I did stay an help him add a support for the lip he has on there which cam out good i also cut out two more sets of oil guards. The looked good without the bumper tho......I doubt we'll see pics of his party

 

oh man. the party was hilarious. i will see if i can get the pics uploaded lol.... I am going to clean the car tomorrow morning and will take pics. turned out pretty good. only thing that I had to do was shift them over a tad to fit the fog lights in. Thanks for the help guys.

 

Hmmm.....well we figured that might happen so the inside coners

 

basically the fog light bracket tucks into the rubber arear of the oil coolers. so i had to shift both sides a tad to the outside of the car.

 

Look at this 8 I found for sale...it's a fwd 4 cylinder...lol too funny. But on the other hand it's a turbo shinka so..
