OK...in the last few days ive seen 4 different 8's on the road. everyone feel free to post your stories and sightings here....maybe we'll actually have been members we dont even know!

i drive a black 8 with clear sidemarkers:

last friday over off the corner of Kennedy and Dale Mabry behind the Village Inn - Black RX8 - we drove right by eachother

Monday - black 8 nice looking blonde. i was looking over and i think she thought i was checking her out till i mouthed "nice car" and she smiled and pointed at mine too. haha

Monday - blue 8 on hillsborough ave around 630pm we were side by side in traffic for a while.

TOday - Red 8 on hillsborough ave...couple in their 40's checking out my 8 and waved when i looked over.

any of these people on here??

Was the blonde on 580?? I saw the same one.. around 4:00

My friend saw a titanium on Tuesday and honked at it, thinking it was me. THey were at the BK on gulf to bay.

I saw a black one on Dale Mabery lastnight around 7:30

I saw a red one at Smokey Bones across from the citrus park mall yesterday at lunch

 

I've seen alot of rx-8 on the roads here in tampa but none of them pay attention to a 1st gen when i give a honk and a wave. I guess its all up to the owner.

Nahh its a rotary thing. I always honk/wave to any other rotary drivers I see. Usually wind up waving to myself cause they dont notice me though.

 

I saw one and waved back.. Might have been you.. a brown 1st gen on gulf to bay a month or 2 ago.

 

the first gen is still my favorite. I have been looking for the right one for a few years now. the 1983 GSL Limited Edition in Gold.

one night i was headed home in 19North. Right around country side I ran into a pair of red 2nd gens. It was pretty cool. we were all at the light together.

My wife said she was taking my son to school the other day (he's three) and they spotted a red 8 like mine on 19. My son went nuts thinking someone took my "fast red car" as he calls it. Started crying and everything. He was pretty upset.

 

Well its nice to know some of the rx-8 owners know the roots of the cars. I hope I see alot of you all in the future I haven't had a chance to ride in a Rx-8 yet.

Spotted a mirror image of my titanium gray on 86th ave in Seminole on Sat. evening. The clerk at the bp on Park & 113th said that his brother has the exact same car. I think this was probably him.

 

That was either me or epitroid (probably)... we both have titanium 8s in the seminole area. Nice to meet ya!! Sry I didnt see ya if it was me.

 

I live in North Tampa, but you may see me around 275. Silver RX-8.

by the end of the week it'll have the MS Spoiler and clear sidemarkers

Just bought it today. Up to 90 miles (had 7 when I started)

 

WOW! Three Titaniums in Seminole. I probably should have gotten the blue one, but the gray is too cool.

 

I have one too, in clearwater.

I've had mine since Sept tho.. wonder if I was the first in the area..

I think some girl with a titanium and custom rims has had hers about as long though. Most of the newer onces have the appearance package and hers didnt.

 

Mine is pretty much the automatic base model. Wifey wouldn't let me splurge. I was shocked I got the green light at all.

I figured I'd have to settle w/ the 3 or 6.

She is a good woman. I knew I married her for a reason.

 

Women like this car ALOT.

 

I've noticed.

I'm still trying to convince her on the Orlando meet. It sounds like a great time.

We may go up on Friday and she and the kids will do Disney on Sat.

 

I saw a silver 8 on tampa road near forest lakes at 4:30pm today..

There was a blonde lady driving.. we were stuck in horrendous traffic.. I was driging a purple miata.

 

I see a silver 8 with appearance package around 7:30 in the morning alot, on Forest Lakes.

 

yellow 8 on hillsborough ave near oldsmar....heading west toward pinellas county. i was turning off and it drove by, so i didnt get to see who was driving :-(

 

On my way to see kill bill.. at 7pmish.. i saw..

A yellow with a lady (brunette or red head) driving north on mcmullen booth. THen at the intesection of Mcmullen and tampa rd. I saw a blue one with a lady and her son.. we waved at eachother.. and at the AMC woodlands theater I saw a red one.. That you greese?

 

nope not me. I wish it had been though. I have not seen a movie in a actual movie theater in years.

Spotted a Silver RX-8 on Ulmerton around 3pm yesterday, headed east.

 

Saw a black one parked at Steak and Shake on 19. today. The one near Bell Air south of Gulf to Bay. I eat lunch there just about every day as part of my diet regimen (40 pounds lost since Jan 2) so you can always spot my red one there. First time I have seen a black one around.

 

Saw a titanium at a mechanic shop on the corner of 86th and 113th in Seminole the other night. Couldn't see the tag so I didn't know if it was someone I knew.

 

Two titanium gray's at the Holiday Inn Madeira Beach within the last week. I know one was at the Orlando meet. It has the blacked out "lindell mazda" plate frame.
