I think we may have met Fritz a couple years back at Whataburger or out at SCCA - i haven't done much of anything club related since Holly moved back up to ATL - been focussing on school and work.

Our 8 is Velocity Red, 6SP, rotor accent package and no other "options"! Not just because it was cheaper that way but all that other stuff is junk if you ask me, who needs leather seats, Bose stereo and navigation in a sports car? :-)

i've noticed that there is going to be a drift contest held in ATL in April, i'd like to organize a get together and caravan for that event if possible! I don't know about you guys but i'm addicted to drift!

That's great, Ray. Good to know someone local who has an 8 and also knows something about working on rotaries. How would it be if next time I am up that way I stop in at Sun Tire and ask for you?

I was going to go for the basic package with cloth seats but I really liked the Nordic Green color. The dealer in Ft. Lauderdale had one coming in but would not give me much of a deal on it. The only one on the lot was loaded with all the options, including the nav system, and had been there for a couple of months, so I was able to get a good deal on it. Now I am glad I did. I figure in the long haul - 5 years or so - the extra cost won't mean that much and I will have all the extras to play with.

No worries. :) I've seen that model too. I used to live in Tally off Mission Rd when I went to FSU (96-97). Great town! I'm a Pensacola native myself.
wow, what a small world :D

Ray,

i'd be interested in the ATL event..not only to meet the rotorheads in atlanta but i'd like to attend as many events as possible this year. hopefully my car will be back up in the next month. hey, this wasn't your car was it:

we should choose our own local meeting place..maybe some place in between everybody like on N. Monroe...just a casual meet once a month.

haha, i think there was an older lady with her (don't quote me on that)...i was beside in my vintage red 3rd gen holding a camera out the window with one hand while trying not to steer into oncoming traffic with the other hand (NE Capital Circle)...i'm sure she thought i was some freak...but i'm sure she knows about the rotary thing, right?

Yah, that's one of her co-workers, she was probably on her lunch break. she didn't think anything of it until i showed her the picture :-)

of course she knows of the rotary thing! she really loves the car and i can't blame her, i really like it too. when we got the car i told them to keep in touch with us because i was looking forward to getting a new 7 when it comes out.
