Panhandle's get together / Dinner and AutoX.
Date: July 27, 2003 (Sunday)
Location: Pensacola, FL - Bronson Field
Direction: Please follow link for directions - if you have any more questions, you may reach me at: 915 276 4372, my cell, or my house: 850 916 9852.
If you need a place to stay, I can possibly hold up to 3 people, but will need to know in advance. I can also look around the area for some good rates at nice hotels, if you need a place to stay. Please let me know. Link to the autox is below, please click link.
http://gulfcoastregionscca.org/bronson_dir.php
Please be sure that you bring water, food (sandwich or what not will do - Depending what heat you work on, could be a chance you can go to McD's.), sunscreen, etc.
***PLEASE EMAIL ME BACK FOR HEAD COUNT*** I need to know the total number by end of this weekend, or perferbly before Next Wednesday July 23.
IF you want to participate on AutoX, goto:
http://www.gulfcoastregionscca.org And register early if it is your first time autocrossing at bronson field. It costs $20 for non-members, and $10 for members. I believe $15 if you're active-military.
They close registeration about 10, as well as Tech. I believe. I would suggest to get here early - that way you don't get into any confusions if it is your first time over here.
Eve Witts and I have been getting together a nice resturant. I have choosen Outback Steak House.. in Pensacola. We will be leaving after the autocross at some point. Depending if you want to stay after awards and such - but we shall know when the time comes - up to everyone. It costs about $20-$30 to eat there, and if you buy alcoholic drinks.
Keep in mind - this is a get together for all RX-7/rotary owners... and those who haven't met everyone in the Panhandle. So if you want to buy Alcohol, that is by your choice, but I will not be responible for your actions. Please be incontrol of your intake in the drinks.
If you have any questions about it, please contact me - and i'll be happy to reply back. I'd like to see as much out as possible

Might I add, reguardless if you have an RX-7 or rotary powered vehicle, you may come anyway. Like to see more cars out there - mazda's anyway.

The autocross was great! We were rained on for quite a bit but it eventually dried up and the racing continued. Here are the results:
http://www.gulfcoastregionscca.org/results.php?id=23
I'm STS 8...kinda disappointed w/ my results but hey, there was only 1.3 seconds difference from 1st to 6th place.
Loved the RX8 - I couldn't stop drooling!!!

Hey Guys,
The autocross was great! Chuck is talking about possibly giving the track a run in his new 8 during the next event.
It was nice to meet some of the drivers and forum members. I look forward to seeing the Panama City crew next month!
The Fort Walton Beach dealership finally received three RX-8s. The Velocity Red went to B-Nez and the Yellow and Silver are there for the looking. I have to say that the Winning Blue is still my favorite color!
:D

Is it on Sunday again? I know we'd like to come out there, but I probably won't be running 8, since we won't arrive early enough for registration and tech. I'd definitely like to hang out and watch, AND help work the course.
