im gunna guess that, it depends on the shop and quality... ask some local shops for estimates

Y Mazda dealership n Texas said they'd paint my car matte black for 1500. You do that and ur car will look sick

From what ive read and heard, that rx8 thats matte black is just a primer. he later got it painted gloss black, or somthing like that.
