Can someone provide the name of a good mechanic in the Miami area. I have a 2004 RX-8. It will not start. I thought that it was due to the problem with driving a short distance and turning off the car. I had two people from AAA at my house, both said it was the starter that is not working.

Very good service from a mechanic that owns a very hot RX-7. They worked on my 2004 RX8 and did a great job. They have also worked on other Mazda's I have owned.

 

OK. Thank you. I used the mechanic who works on my daughter's car, he works on almost anything. His name is Manny @Manolo Auto Repairs, 305.558.8752. I provided him the directions that I picked up from a couple of RX-8 forums to deflood an engine. He also researched the topic. He spent a couple of hours, replaced the spark plugs, and managed to get started it. In a short amount of time he became very knowledgeable on the RX-8, and he is willing to research and review input gathered from these forums. I will try the Mazda specialist for my suspension system.

I go to FIU and live in the area. I see Rx8's on campus all the time. Anyone on here?

 

We actually had a few RX8's out at tower shops lat night. I think there is a huge meet in Orlando today.


Im at FIU tues and thurs. Silver with black and chrome rims. Im always parked in PG5

 

Nice I'm there Mon-fri but my longest days are Tues and Thurs. I usually park in the red garage and pg5.

If you see a TI gray looking stock on the outside, could be me. I see a bunch of 8's at school, nice to know some are on the forums.

 

There are two other guys who go to MDC in Kendal. They do install meets around there every so often as well. I'll keep an eye out for you from now on. My 8 is loud so you know it's me if I I'm riding by.

Yeah I always see a couple 8's around, last semester I'd always see a yellow 8 in the blue and gold garage and a couple more there. I'll watch for you too.

Xero ryu I'm pretty sure I met you. I was on the local airsoft forums, and I bought a silencer for a m4 from you. Pretty crazy you're on these forums too lol.

haha wow small world. Well i left airsoft and im in autox now :P funny enough if you remember "Ian 'Magsz' Goodman", he is actually a part of south florida mazda crew as well, driving a Speed3. he had a Rx8 but the motor went on him several times so he sold it. Do you still have that silencer by any chance?

 

Yeah it's crazy lol, and no I actually sold that silencer a while back. I got out of the airsoft scene, I still have my m4, I should try selling it. I don't recall meeting Ian, but I don't really remember.

 

im out of it, soo...but i also kept my m4 (the custom one i built) and was wanting to see if you had it to put on the m4 since i have it hanging on my wall
