Anyone on here from southeast Georgia? Brunswick-Waycross areas..

Most of the people I see are from ATL

Gots to be some people on here from the backroads.

 

I'm down in alma,ga sometimes. you don't see too many 8's down south. waycross i'm very familiar with, but i rarely ever go to brunswick.

Yeah not too many 8's, Ive seen a couple in Wayx, only Mazda place I know around here is in Baxley, feels kinda good to have a rare car

 

Several 8's from the Atlanta area will be visiting the Pooler area last weekend in Sept. NASA event at Roebling Road.

 

not too many down that way, at least not that we have heard of.

but since you are part of Georgia, you ought to stop by the Georgia RX-8 Club Forum, and say hi.

asn as Dano mentioned, a bunch of us trackies will be down near Savannah in a couple weeks to get our fix. if you have time, you should drop by.

 

Yea, stop by Roebling Road Raceway in Savannah and join us for a little fun. You can even take your car on the track for Touring laps at lunch time if you like.

Savannah here, although i'm up in ATL for school... GT

 

...as being "close" to Brunswick (sort of). Got my 8 (06 Red MT w/perf package) in Savannah earlier this year while they were practically giving them away. VERY happy with it so far.

Guage, what is your experience with the Baxley dealership (if any)? I'll need to get my 8 looked at from time to time, and I dread driving 2 hours each way to Savannay to do it. Baxley is just half an our away.

Might drop by Robeling just for fun. I'd really like to push this bsby to her limit at least once, but I have no illusions of being a race car pilot.

We'll Ive only been over to Baxley to look around, havent really messed with them. I actually bought my car used from a Nissan dealership over in Wayx .

 

I have kinfolk in Vidalia. Used to drag race there between Vidalia and Lions at a sanctioned track in the early 70's.

 

I can't think of where they would have done that (in Vidalia), even back more than 30 years ago. Nothing like a drag strip around here now.

Maybe they used the airport runway? Pretty big for a small town airport. Has at least a mile of runway. Build for military use, I heard. They host a real nice Air Show just about every year at the Onion Festival.

I'm in Albany, not SE, but SW. You're right, not a whole lot of folks around here. I've seen a few and invited them to our get togethers and track days, but they never show.

 

I wouldn't bother with the Baxley dealership unless you're just going there for an oil change. It seems that the further south you go in GA, the less people are interested in rotaries, mechanics included.

Been stationed here in Valdosta GA for sometime now, just bought an 8, waycross is but only 30 minutes away if I'm correct, sorry only been here for about 8 months
