Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you guys know about the autocross that Florida Region SCCA will be putting on since I know many of you are interested in autocrossing:

When: April 23rd, Saturday
Where: Bank Atlantic Center, Sunrise, FL (map)
How much: $35 for SCCA members/$40 for non-members

If you've never autocrossed before, the SCCA is a very beginner-friendly bunch. There will be a novice walkthrough of the course in the beginning of the day and instructors will be available to ride with you. There will be a trophy presentation at the end of the event. Don't miss it, I don't want to be the only RX-8 there!

I LOVE your 8! That's exactly what I plan to do to mine (minus the blue, I'm goin straight stealth with no accent color)

What did you use for the taillights? VST Nightshades or something else?

I USED VHT NITE SHADES LIKE 3 OR 4 COATS.. CANT REMEMBER. I TRADED THEM FOR TO STOCK ONES SINCE MY PLAN IS TO PAINT THEM RED ALL THE WAY... FULL STEALTH IS VERY SEXYBUT THE DARK TAIL LIGHTS CAN GET YOU IN TROUBLE

Really? Is it legal in your state to have blacked out taillights? Cause if it is I don't see why they could pull you over for it.

i think its a profiling thing...blacked out car is always suspect in florida

i would love to go but i need front tires.... i just bought the rears. plus i can save some money by going to the BBQ.... i wanna go auto-x!!!!

I've only been to one meet, so I'd love to go to the BBQ... but trust me, auto-x is way more fun. It's usually $300+ for a track day, so this is actually a really good deal if you want to get your car on the track and see what it's like. It's a rush... I posted a map of what the course will approximately look like in the other thread.

And your tires will be fine as long as they have enough air and aren't cording. Anyway, hope to see you out there sometime and check out your car in person!

Let's go in july! U should have your tires and I should have my exhaust repaired. Well try and recruit as many people as possible. That way well have a bunch of rotaries showing what our cars were made for.

Idk ill do some research. If anything we can get a sparco baby seat and throw some takata straps on it so the baby will perfectly safe.....I think ima go on photoshop when I get home now lol.

The next autocross is next weekend, July 24th. It will be held on the road course at PBIR again! Everyone loved last month's course, so we'll be doing something very similar.

If you guys are going, just make sure you pre-register because there are only about 35 spots left out of 100.
