We have a very active club around. Everything from a real fast and furious garage to the average modded 8. We focus more on performance than show. We have a really big event at Road Atlanta in mid march with NASA. We will have about 10 rx8's on the track and Roar Racing adopts us for the w/e. If you want coverage on a modded 8--that would be the place to be. Road Atlanta is just repaved and the track is beautiful dude. Here is my 8

Sat afternoon there should be bout 10 RX's racing, but also another 8-10 more spectating for the party. And the cars of associated friends. Agreed OD, this will be cool.

Okay heres what I can do. I need to get in touch with MStyles or Phildox as thats what the editors like the best so far.

On your track day I will be there and we can organize a club photo. Every month S3 magazine has a spread dedicated to a Car Club. If you would like, I can take a group photo of the 8's and interview someone who knows enough about the club to answer some general questions. Thanks so much for helping us out!

You can try to send an email through the GA RX-8 Club forum but I don't think these guys check in very often so I wouldn't trust a message post.

If you still have trouble getting them, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Talked with Charlie and he said contacting them via PM or email would be the best way to get in touch with them so I guess it's a wait and see right now since I've already done that.

 

dont worry there will be plenty of modded cars around--some with kits(Charlie's and Val's for example), plenty with the sleeper look/track setups, cars with gauges and without etc.
Agree if Charlie will be ok in being our spokesperson-- when did we 1st start up--wasnt it during the Panoz days in 2004?
Silver it is your time to shine here my friend. You have some great shots. Others have also but your name just comes to mind with I think Pictures.
Guess it will be shirt time guys, wear the club shirts , hats and tongs.

Wow thank you so much for the warm invite! I was hoping to be there all
day Saturday for the event. If I could get track access that would be
beyond fantastic! I have some experience at Road Atlanta shooting on
track (Petit Le Mans and Formula D last year plus a few track days), so I
am pretty familiar with the process. Thanks again for the gracious
invite! I am hoping that maybe we can put this entire event in as a
single page or two page spread in maybe the April/May issue of the
magazine! Also all images I take (well at least all the good ones haha)
will be available to whoever is in attendance. Well hope to talk to you
again soon!
