thanks, but I know how to change the oil, I do it for my other cars (out of warranty) I want to do in a "service place" to keep the receipt just in case motor blows!!!... after 60,000miles I'll start changing oil by myself, or maybe sell the car and buy a new RX-8, or rx-7...
Just looking out.

well just to let you know that if you change your oil with redline of royal purple and take it to a service place, that even with a reciept (which would be worse cause then they will have proof) mazda will void your warrenty. They said don't use synthetic and if you take reciepts to them your pretty much telling them, hey look I used synthetic oil going against the service manual!
Just looking out.

FWIW: RP is better than Redline IMHO (I've used both in different cars). I'm now, however, using Castrol GTX 20W50. I don't need any more headaches, and since this stuff flashes out of the car anyway, I like the (much) cheaper price.

Syntec Blend 5W30
Just changed oil myself for the 1st time, it was so easy, the easier car I ever, I'm using Castrol Syntec Blend 5W30 and Mobil 1 filter. I changed my trans and diff oil too, mobil 1 75W90 both. I changed coils (OEM) plugs (OEM) and cables (Magnacor) a week ago, too. The car is running fantastic!!!

it's 5w-20 BTW in the service manual for oil changes if your worried following the book concerning it's synthetic useage (or non useage) and warranty headaches. Same thing with that receipt showing the wrong weight.
