Racing Beat REVi intake @ Mazcare

Saw the Racing Beat Intake today at Mazcare here in Mariett, Ga. This thing looks great. The owner, Charlie, will be fitting one to his car tonight. He ordered four but has three for sale. Can't wait to see and hear his tomorrow.

Well gang last night reminded me of when I was 16 as I worked on the floor of my garage at home installing the R/B intake on my 8. The results are REALLY nice. There is a noticeable gain in power (that I will verify today at the dyno) and the quality, fit, and looks of this piece are worth every penny.

as some of you may know I had tried "a competitors" intake early on and,
although it made power, the sound was very CRXish and not tolerable for a 42 year old guy. That is why "it" is sitting in the corner of the parts room gathering dust. I will say that the filter that it came with works great on the LS1 powered 2nd gen.

Bottom line, the R/B intake is everything we all thought it would be and it's worth the wait. Now all we need to do is track test it..........Stay tuned for dyno results!

Just back from the dyno!!!!!!! My baseline from when the car had 1200 miles was 185.7/138.8. Now, with the following done: Cat back exhaust, SR Pulleys (don't think these did much), ACT flwheel (no hp gain from this) "N" flash, and ...............The Racing Beat Intake.

The results.........................................20 1.0/142.5

Yes it works!!!!!!

Anyone want to do a dyno day?
