A bunch of us have stupid little questions about the Rx-8 . . . so post the car as soon as you get it here, so we can ask you guys to check on small things, plus it will help the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd allo cars determine when there time will come.

 

We received our Winning Blue RX-8 in Pensacola, Florida (Sandy Sansing Mazda) on July 14th, at about 6PM CDT. It arrived on the truck at about 4PM. The dealership received 2 RX-8s, our Winning Blue and a Yellow. They were both fantastic looking cars. Both were presold, and we left the dealership about the same time as the other buyer.

We were able to see our car on the truck here in Fort Walton Beach at about 2PM, and the wait while the car was in transit to Pensacola was agonizing! Too bad we couldn't talk the truck driver into letting us go ahead and drive the car to Pensacola ourselves.

I just received an email from my dealer at 2:44pm (I'm at work). My car arrived this afternoon! But I don't get off till 10pm so I can't get it till tomorrow.

I just called my Dealer (Gunther) in Ft-Lauderdale. They have a Yellow and black in the showroom (NonAlocation)

 

If it makes it on the truck today, the hope is that I should have my car by early afternoon. (Atlanta area)

Yup, it made the truck. Got it on Sat. afternoon. Had lots of thumbs up driving around town today.

 

As posted in another thread titled "TJRX8 Got his!" Yes TJRX8 did get his...car that is.
Showed up Friday around 5:15PM. I saw it at 5:50 and test drove it around 6:30. Picked it up the next day around 2 and am loving every minute of it.

When are we getting together? Orlando or Tampa would be good central locales for the Florida gang. How 'bout it?

 

I just got the call. I'm picking up the car in an hour and I'll post pics later.

It's a black Touring /w Rotary Acc, App Pack and Spoiler. Picking it up at Marlin Mazda (Miami, FL).

This is too funny.. I just got a reply from rx8orders informing me that the car is due next week. I get this 1/2 hour after the car is already at the dealer.

 

Just got the E-Mail today!!! Already had the car for 5 days!

 

Mine can in yesterday at Al Smith in Raleigh ,NC. Picked it up today. Only had time to drive it 5 miles to work and here I am. But, it rocks!!!!

I will start Claybar and Zaino tonight!

I was just up there Friday night and they said they hadn't seen one with the App Pkg. They were checking mine out. I guess they saw two now. I was going to tell you that Brandon got a red one in Saturday also, it's exactly like yours. That color is really nice, the red looks darker in person almost candy apple.
You must be chompin at the bit now to get home.

 

Yes, I'm suffering. I'm pretty anxious to get home now. Not too much longer.

Check out my "Feel my suffering...." thread on the RX-8 Multimedia/Photo Gallery section for more pics. Since the car came in so quick, they didn't have the other parts, (strakes, exhaust finisher, MP3 player) ready to install. The wife will have to go back Thursday, and they'll install the rest. I'll post some pics with the added accessories later.

I found out they DID have the parts. They told my wife that they didn't have time to install them today, even though the salesman promised over the weekend that everything was to be completed by Monday. Well I called the Sales Manager long distance, and told him I was HIGHLY disappointed because his salesperson promised us the car today, and there is no excuse why my wife has to bring it back on Thursday to have the accessories installed. Well, he authorized a service tech to work overtime, and they installed all the accessories (strakes, exhaust finishers and MP3 player). See what a little "bitchin" can do. Anyway, everything is installed. I'll have the wife take some "updated" pics that show the strakes and exhaust finishers.
