This meet is scheduled to be held on the 17th of January (aka Martin Luther King Day). It will start at 10:00 A.M. and is going to be located the Blue Angel Park in Pensacola, Fl. Anyone wishing to attend please post and let us know that you will be coming so we have an idea of how many 8's will be there as well as people. I hope this can be a success.

The turn off of Hwy 98 is on the left as you are heading west (a sign for the park is also posted on the left)

The entrance is a couple miles down from where you get off of Hwy98. Go straight down to the waterfront when you pass the entrance fee booth. I'll be at the end of the road.

I ran into a 7 owner at autozone, he'd be interested in coming. We might get a couple of 7s showing up.

 

Sounds good so far. It looks like I'll be running a bit late to the party but I have a good map so I shouldn't get lost. I have an appointment with a chiropractor that morning at 9 that I really need to make it to.

Are we planning on eating there or should we all pick up something prior to the meet?

 

Why don't we meet at 10:00, show and chat about the cars for an hour or so, then road rally (no speeding involved) to a place to eat (fastfood or dine-in). After lunch we can rally back to Blue Angel Park. That gets the cars out in force and draws the attention of the locals. So, my vote is bring your lunch money. What say you all?

Blue Angel Park

 

I figured that much LOL, but where at in the park? I'm not fimilar with the area too well... does anyone have a # i can contact you at, so when I get there?

 

Supposedly there is a pretty large parking lot where we will all be at, probably the only parking there lol. My cell is 585-5168 (850) if anyone needs info.

 

Go down to the entrance of Blue Angel Park. When you get to the guard shack (where you pay your entrance fee) follow that road all the way down to the waterfront...a straight shot. The 8's will be down there in plain sight. I'll even make sure the toll person knows that there will be a gathering of cars and where to point folks to. See you there. (don't forget your lunch money).

Car meet and a meal. Can't beat that. My wife will be joing us as she is still on medical leave (car accident) and does not return to work until next Wednsday.

 

Good to hear that other wives will be there. My wife gets nervous about being the only one there that doesn't talk only about cars. See you all there.
