hey guys some of us talked last time we hung out . and descused starting some sort of monthy meet. so i figured id start a thread to try and start planing for one.

if you have any ideas or preferences such as dates or activities( doing a cookout or such)
post up here and mabye get this ball rolling

Hey everyone who is from around here, I don't know which thread to post it in but there is a meet out in Navarre Beach on the 21st, here's a link to the Facebook event Rides and Tides Car Meet, it looks like it's going to be pretty big and it'd be cool to get some 8's out there if possible.

 

hey guys, i'm new to pensacola and would not mind coming out to a meet. I've been wanting to take my car to a track and run her, if anyone knows one that is around pensacola please let me know.

 

That meet sounds nice...wish i had more done to my car tho :-/ with time i guess! I would like to make it out and will try to! ill update!

 

id offer my place for a bbq but i have no grill or furniture.

Alright, I'm planning on going to that one and I'm mostly stock, so at least having 8's out there will be better than nothing. And I vote we make Nick roll sushi for us all! Just kidding, but I think there's going to be food available at that meet and stuff so I think just rolling out that way in a group is a good enough plan.

 

I'll be moving down to Pensocola at the beginning of August. Just wondering if any of you autocross and how it is down there.

 

do not get an aem cai grille mount damn thing hydrolocked my engine. i might just part out the car if i cant fix it soon. but otherwords im down for anything if the least ill ride my motocycle out there

 

i do to but havent found any tracks around here pcb has a small oval but all the other autocross tracks are a good drive away

 

hell yeah. we got a pretty good little crowd here now. im also interested in area auto-x. i have a spare set of tires that needs destroyed.

I'll look over the regional scca website once I get down there. I remember there being autox events in the vacinity of pensocola, just don't remember where. Was looking over the results list and was suprised that there were no RX8s racing.

 

Okay so that big meet is this Saturday in Navarre. Who's going?

 

Anyone here living in Pensacola that drives a black series 2 RX-8? I've seen you twice heading east bound on Rt. 173 on NAS Pensacola at 0700 in the morning. I'm the guy driving the black series 1 with black wheels.

 

Anyone from this area plan on going to the Jacksonville Meet and Eat on Sept. 29th? I plan on going as a last adventure with the car here in the Panhandle of florida as i will be moving! Dont know where yet but just seeing if anyone else was going so we could all meet at I10 throughout the morning on the way there!

I can't take the lead, too busy. But I will definitely try to meet up with y'all if my schedule allows.

 

Well I'll organize this thing then, I go on leave in 4 days but I'll be back in town on 5 January and we'll start working on it.

 

I'm down and I'm sure Nick is as well if we aren't working. He and I tried to get something together a while ago and no one showed so we'll see how it goes.

 

Hey, my fiance just got her 2nd rx8 and now I've got the fever. She had an '05GT a few years back and now has a '10. I'm looking at a few for sale, but no moves on one yet. I'd love to meet up and just get a feel for things around here. I've always been a fan of the CIB engines and have had a few bagged trucks, custom cars, a big *** Jeep, and a 69 GMC C-10 w/ a 475hp SBC. But ever since I whipped her 2010 RX-8 around in that parking lot the other day, I'm being pulled to the rotary side.

If anyone wants to set up a little meet and greet after New Years, I'm down to show. We'll be back in town on the 2nd.

 

I say we set something up for a couple weeks from now. Just something to get this ball rolling, we've got to convince my friend not to sell his series 2 for a bmw!! Even if we only get like a handful other people to show, it'll slowly grow until it becomes a legit regular meet.

 

I'm sure I can pop by. I'm in town most weekends these days.
