Dyno...Food...Race.....!!

Hey guys/gals,

Its time for the monthly meet, this time there is a slight change. Instead of being the first friday of the month, for this its the first saturday. So date is Saturday Nov. 1st.

Food...TGI Fridays on Atlantic Blvd and University Dr from about 5-6pm to around 8-8:30pm.
Race....Moroso midnite madness.

I know you 8 owners are not too interested in the dyno on account of the car, however, its still a meet you guys can meet us at the Fridays or come and hang and watch, also there is the track....im sure a couple of you are curious as to what the car does in the 1/4. See you out there.

Anyway, that link doesnt seem to be working for me. I'd go through the whole shebang to be hoenst so whats up with the dyno info?

Theres the info for the dyno. Like i said i doubt you guys will be interested on account that we can't dyno the 8...... (damn sensors). But you guys are welcome and check it out and hang or just meet at the Fridays afterwards. Plus theres the track.....:D

 

To be honest, if I have some cash to spare I'll throw it on. What the hell. Be fun to go fast and not move :D Also wanna learn a bit about tuning so seems like the spot to be at.

 

Ill be there. This time ill bring the rx8.

I am pretty sure I'll be there. Managed to get in a fun day of autocrossing today. Lou came out to visit for a bit :D

 

Slight change in plans....
Instead of Moroso midnite madness we will be heading down to Street Legal Imports, its in north miami. So for those who are not wanting to dyno you can meet us at the restarant and then we head down to the spot. See you guys this saturday.

 

I'll be heading down there with my friends from rx7club.com, along with a few other people. We usually meet up across the street from towers on saturday nights, then we head out.

 

When are you coming down....because i think the meeting spot will be at TGI Fridays for this one.

I'll be there at 10 at the shop. I'll prolly be one fo the few 8's heading to that so should be easy to spot. I'll only be out until 2-3PM, but should be fun anyways.

 

Thanks to Genom for coming out....he was the lone 8 to show up, and in my opinion his car was the highlight of the day....when we had it strapped in, an offer was made to top the car out, he said go for it......and in 6th gear at 9k rpm the digital speedo read 175mph..... :D I wish i had my camera at that time....that was a true kodac moment. See you guys at the next get together.

 

Yeah man, I thought I was gonna get ignored by all the guys in their macho camaros, but there was quite a crowd watching that sucker go :D

I LOVED the sound when it was going all out too.

BTW, I'll stop by on tuesday for the data. Wont make it tomorrow.

 

Hey Genom, this is Tommy with the white S2000... that was a very nice and surprising dyno your 8 had there. Putting down 189 RWHP is well beyond the range of the other dynos I've seen online of the 8. BTW, how many miles do you have?

 

I was at 4675 I beleive. I've been running 89 octane gas and filled it up right before heading back to the shop for my run.

I just wished I could have run earlier to hang out and chat for a while, but I actually had a bunch of work to take care of and had to bail right after my run.

Oh well, it was cool to see you guys get there. I was sitting on the corner and some guys standing next to me look down the street and just go "Holy ****! Look at that!" as all 4 of you come cruising down the side road.

It is kinda nice to see a group (s2k's) arrive like that. Mebbe we can get some more 8's out to an event sometime in the future.

 

I have a black 8 and im in the area so next time let me know id like to go and hang as well
