Hey guys just wanted to make a new thread to chit chat about what everyone has been up to. Seems like most of us arent nearly as active as we were. I took up a couple new hobbies also so I've been a busy boy. Bought a pocket bike 47cc little bastard looks like a jap bike and does about 40-45mph. Looks funny as hell haulin *** on it. Also bought 2 new nitro powered RC cars... both do about 45 mph also tons of fun racing them on the little bike while my buds play around in the dirt with em. Well anyone else have any new toys?? mods?? meets??

new tires and rims coming in during the next two days. Hopefully will get them installed on Friday.

My borla exhaust sticks out on the left side more than the right. It doesn't always do it, anyone have suggestions?

Also, if anyone in the area wants to buy like new stock tires and rims (just over 2k miles on them) PM me. I don't like the idea of ebaying them due to the hassle of shipping.

 

Try loosenging the main clamp and readjusting . It's probably moving due to heat.

I'd like to show up for a meeting, but I'd like for it to be a real meeting, not a spur of the moment thing that no one shows up for.

I'm waiting until my new rims are installed before I attend one.... My replacement rim (for the one that was damaged) comes in on Wed. Which means Thurs/Fri/Sat are open for me to get them installed. The problem is, I can't transport them to the tire store in my RX-8. So unless one of you has a truck and wants to help, it looks like I'll have to wait until Monday next week as the earliest possible date to get them on

Did I mention I really hate waiting?

 

Ive got a new 4runner i could use. I work until 5pm wed & thurs but im off Friday. Is it possible to get em down there mid day friday?

OK... i saw 3 rx8s in a 10 min drive to my buddies house today. 2 sunlight silvers and a blue... all on seminole blvd and tyrone blvd. Insane!! people stop buying them!!!!!!!!! At least all of them were stock

 

I saw a silver a titanium and a red today.

 

Another 8 owner from Tampa here, had it for about a month. Titanium Grey. Would love to meet some others .. maybe get together on a game day to meet? Oh well, PM me or post here if interested in hangin out.

 

Put me down for a Tampa area meet. i'v had my 8 about a month now and the tampa guys dont seem to organized as far as meets go.
Tried the clearwater beach thing a couple times but it didn't work.
By the way I was down at the Beach yesterday and I saw a kid with 8 silver 8 but he was to busy to see a fellow 8 Maybe his parents car

 

I don't like going into clearwater/saint petersburg. 275 and the toll road are too bumpy for my liking.

Hey everyone!!!! Long time no post. By the looks of things on here so has everyone else. Well I have good news and bad news, bad news is that I dont plan on doing anything else except minor stuff bolt ons now to the 8. Good news is that I bought a 7 Its a 2nd gen GXL that im already cutting apart. 10 point cage/fiberglass parts already ordered. Im sure Imma get flamed for this but Im doing a V8 conversion in it. The engine will be built by myself and 3-4 friends that have some serious cars. Going to be a 350 .30 over with all forged internals and about 11:1 compression. Victor Jr alum heads ported, and mostly pretty trick parts. On motor should make about 480-520 and then im going to spray 250+ to it. Biggest project of the car is going to be the rear end, its getting backhalved (everything cut out from the seat back and a custom subframe and rear end all welded in) thats my next large purchase over the next few months. ETA for completion is going to be about 1 year or so depending on how things go. If anyone wants to hand me some cash I wouldnt mind :D :D :D

Sorry if the whole conversion thing offends anyone but basically its the most economical way to get that much power and i can build it, these rotaries give me a headache. As far as handling and weight go its actually not that much heavier once everything is ripped out and fiberglass hood/fenders are on it. Its being built for a straight line anyway and the 8 will be the curvy car

I'm in the landolakes arear but travel to tampa west shore arear. Working in the mall next to Marisino Resterant. I cant stop looking at the most beautiful women in the world. Most are all plastic but WoW!! The best part is that I can go up to them and speak to them because Im selling Alltel and Sprint Wireless service and accessories for the phones. I see all kinds of cars their. Like the new bentley turbo and a Aston Martin Volante (silver) All kinds of Ferarri's WoW!! The still look at my ride. COOL!! :D
