New Member in Miami...

Hey guys i just joined the club and i wanted to know if anyone knew a good tuner shop in miami. Im thinking of purchasing an intake and doing the install myself but the exhaust would be my next purchase and i need to know if in miami i can find a shop to work on my 8. Thanks for your time.

Ive done installations for other memebers in Miami before, intake, exhaust and drivetrain components (flywheel, clutch).

I do all my own work on my RX8, and other members have trusted me enough to work on their cars, so if youre interested I could o the installation for probably half of whatever a tuner shop would charge you.

Let me know if youre interested and Ill make myself availible.

If you would like other members to vouch for me I can send you a list of people whos cars Ive worked on.

^ The car sounds better when it gets cold here for some reason.. But I'll see that tomorrow, have to wake up at 7am for school registration (yeh, I waited awhile)..

As for that silver 8 stock with the sticker, I've seen it as well.. But no one never sees me..

not to hi jack, but i called TAV in miami asking if they can do my coilover corner balancing, they do not have scales.. and if they will charge 200 bux for doing it without scales id rather try somewhere else...any ideas of another reputable shop who can do this.

I would guess that corner balancing is rather exclusive to race oriented shops (Speedsource, Pettit, etc.).
Another place that may possibly have it would be Miami Chassis, as they specialize on lowering cars (but for the bling factor in their case).

If you guys want to attend meets, try meeting up with this group. They already have a structure established. I think they're meeting up on the 10th. Location described on their website.

I used to hang out with them when I was into the parking lots thing. Good group of people.

Yeah that was me you had to send a PM to, it's not that i was trying to be shady or anything, just dont want cops bothering us is all. I used to go to the SSP meetings as well, havent had time lately to visit them. if you guys want I can try to start up some meets again, but im not gonna wait outside like an idiot and no one shows up...

Dynamic can get you the parts you need, but they no longer do installation. Gustavo at TAV is very good. You will not be disappointed. As far as intakes are concerned, save your money for something else. A K&N or Green drop in is plenty. A step above would be the Racing Beat intake & snorkel. Everything else is sub-par (at above-par prices).

...hope this helps

FYI, I own a business in Hialeah and you can regularly see my car on NW 74th/W 21st (so long as you don't blink )
