omg dude it was an epic fail of a cruise but, if nothing else, it was the funniest drive I've ever been on

yes lets have an orgy meet in o-town once the weathers not so cold. we should have our own little 8 meet somewhere too...i'll take a look at where everyones from and find a central point

the more and more i see hype about this meet, the more i feel influenced to find a way to work it in

We could make it on bird but cops tend to be really stupid about car meets. Where ever it is that we go, it needs to be on the property of a place who's business we can support by being there (so its legal). So somewhere that's open late and has food.
I'm thinking a Steak and Shake or Sonic.
Also, we all have to behave so we can't get in trouble for anything :p

As for a meet in some fast food joint. There's always 5 guys in Miami Beach. They close at 5am.

theres a steak and shake on kendall drive and around 160ave its pretty chillen and as long as we don't start drifting and **** it we can stay all night.

Well, since we were talking about who gets away with tickets and crap.. I got a speeding ticket yesterday. Freaking a! It's $294. When the F did it go up? I mean I was only doing 75 in a 55.. FML. Now I'm broke for sure. I hate state troopers. I was clocked by an aircraft so my RD didn't go off..

Just to warn you guys, don't speed on snapper creek, dolphin expressway going to US-1. Like 10 troopers were waiting for me coming down the little hill..

 

They do that like a couple of times a year...I live and work less then 5 min from there so I know. My buddy, without me knowing, was driving with 6 suspensions on his license cause he is a moron and we got pulled over. If it wasn't for me being in the car he would have went to jail. Ask me how I know this...Cause the cop said..."If it wasn't for you being in the car he would have went to jail!".

The last spot they were camped at was next to the exit for Dadeland mall.

 

kinda depressed i couldn't make the meet last sat. i got outta work at around 6 and got stuck driving a coworker home. anyway. i'm down with a meet. i choose 5 guys. i love their fries. hmmmmm. only problem is that mall hours got extended at my job. bleh.. so i work from 5-11 that night. (international mall is mierda....) but if you guys are still around before or after that i'll show up..

 

good-morning everyone, new guy here. recently became the proud owner of a '04 rx8 AT. Love the car but there are a few things im currently trying to troubleshoot. nice to see there is a active community nearby me. I'm in Dade in Kendall and have seen several rx8's there. any help would be GREATLY appreciated. please, point me in the correct direction if i should post this elsewhere, and where i should post my questions so they can be answered.

ill just put numbers next to each different one then...
1) im having a problem opening one of the cabin lights (the overhead where you can put you sunglasses).. i dont need to change the bulb, its theres a large dead spyder between the lens and bulb on the right side and its not exactly pleasing to have it there.. how would i get it out?
2) i read a manual that says the tire pressure sensor is for 35psi? i have run-flat tires on the car and they're at 50psi (what they need) and of course my tire pressure light is on. is there a way to adjust the sensor so it is for 50psi and the light turns off?
3) theres some water/humidity in my front left headlight i would like to get out, but i dont have the know-how to want to mess with it until i get info from someone who knows the right way to do it.

 

with the cabin light above I took a flathead screwdriver and did alot of prying. Don't be scared, just cautious, and make sure your hands are clean or you'll def get your headliner all yucky.
dont know bout the tpms

the headlight, only way is to open, bake, and close. You'll have to google and search forums for a tutorial you feel most comfortable with. keywords bake, headlights, moisture...something like that.
I'm in kendall also BTW and have the same color as you!

Also I saw a red rx8 last night in the drive through of kfc/taco bell on 117th ave and quail roost drive around 7pm. I waved and they waved back but I don't know if it might be someone here or not.

 

Hmm.. I have a red rx8. I go to the taco bell on 117th. Didn't go there last night though. I'm pretty much around. You'll probably spot me 1 day. I'm the only red 8 with a Miami Heat license plate. That I've seen.

 

thats cool. im still trying to figure something out to make my rx8 be easily identifiable. (other than the fact i usually drive with the sunroof open and windows down lol)

another one in the area! lol. i actually went to robert morgan for highschool years ago. so i'm also in the same area. same taco bell i go to as well. and i'm the only black 8 with purple butterfly stickers on the side windows..

btw chino. thought of you this week. i took a drive up to tampa to see my cousin who was in from NY. HOLY CRAP gas sucks...... but it was a nice drive. and i saw a few 8's on the road during both the trip up and the trip back. funny thing is we were all girl drivers. lol. odd cuz i don't see that many girl 8 drivers in miami. but it was a nice drive.
