I should be free the 12th or the 13th for testing but let's keep this in mind. Once we do this we need to go out and run the car hard for like 20 minutes strait to make sure she is properly warmed up. The issue does not happen otherwise.

Which makes it sound like fuel is not the issue but spark is. Wouldn't the fuel starvation happen regardless of engine temperature? I think it would.

Regardless of spark issues...None of this explains the low compression test. Mazda says anything under 6.9 is failing. Rotor 1 displayed a 6.9, 6.9, 6.8 and Rotor 2 was like 6.9, 6.9, 6.5. This is probably way off cause I am typing this from memory. I will look for the compression test and scan it if I still have it. I might even get another test done in the hopes it is much worse now.

OUCH!!! that sucks yea i dont think fuel or spark have to do with that.....
the noise is likely from the lack of compression throwing the entire "spark" process within the engine due to not creating a good seal

I guess the plan should be to:

- put a newer CAT converter on (I have one)
- send car to Mazda and just get it done

I will just have to hope that Mazda will cover the engine. If they do not then I will simply get a reman from BHR and have it installed and tuned in NA form until I get the funds to go FI. I should be able to start on this once the funds for the tax return comes in.

If mazda covers the engine then I might go ape-**** and buy a turbo or if Hinson pulls there foot out of there own asses and decides to put the v8 kit for the Rx8 out...Then I could sell the new engine and get the Hinson kit. Too many unknowns my friends.

My friend is coming in his sti this saturday from jacksonville for some track time at homestead. so i could do a meet on friday or sunday. I'm not sure how long his thing is gonna be, but that'd be cool if he has time on saturday so he could come too. if you guys wanna do fri or sun, i'm for sure down. if its saturday then possibly. if its friday, then at night. sunday then in the morning for me

Any mods to the suspension? If not drifting a neutrally balanced car would not be as easy as drifting a muscle car...Not to mention the power helps a ton. I would go as far to say look into the setup of your suspension. With a few tweeks you would be surprised how easy it is to drift not to mention it would be easy to control.

They are in Holliwood/Ft. Lauderdale area. I got a used CAT converter from them for like $175. They should have wheels, seats, etc. I saw the warehouse...tons of spare parts.

Lol, i checked there already as well. I found a few sets of wheels for decent prices but theyre mostly from out of state which kinda blows. I personally like to check out the rims myself to make sure the rims are in good condition and plus, i gotta pay shipping -_-
