New Florida Traffic Laws

New Florida Traffic Laws

These are new fines that were implemented on 8/1/07 for the State of Florida.

1. As of 08/01/07 cell phone use must be "hands free" while driving.Ticket is $285.

2. Cell phone use in the construction zone. - Double fine as of 08/01/07. Cell phone use must be "hands free" while driving.

3. Carpool lane - 1st time $1068.50 starting 8/1/07 (The $271 posted on the highway is old). Don't do it again because 2nd time is going to be double 3rd time triple and 4th time license suspended.

4. Incorrect lane change - $380. Don't cross the lane on solid lines or intersections. Block intersection - $485.

5. Driving on the shoulder - $450

6. Passengers over 18 not in their seatbelts - both passengers and drivers get tickets.

7. Speeding is now defined as 3 miles above the limit.

8. DUI Driving under Influence= JAIL Stays on your driving record for 10 years

we dont need those laws, we just need to teach driving lessons to about 93% of the drivers in south florida - especially in the hialeah/doral area

That would put probably 99.99995% of all blue collar laborers out of a vehicle. Seriously, just think of the last time you were on the interstate, bet you saw more than one lawn truck, plumbing van, construction truck, or other such vehicle in a state of such disrepair that it would never pass a smog cert on any level.

(yes, that percentage is extreme hyperbole, for you slow folks in the audience)

well DOT camps the interstate where I am and pulls everything ( commerical ) over. if they are missing a flap they get a ticket. I've seen lines of 15 dumptrucks nailed all at once. Pity they only do it right here.
