Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kyle and I have lived in Charleston my whole life. By the end of next month I should be a proud owner of an RX-8. I have done a bunch of reading on them and test drove a couple of them and love the way the car handles and feels. I used to own a 2008 Subaru WRX but some cut me of and basically totaled my car so now I am in a 2008 Jeep wrangler (that is for sale). Looking to get back on the map as far as performance cars go. Glad to be on here and I am sure that I will have many questions to come up.

Hey! Nice to meet you. I'm in the Charleston area also (James Island), let me know if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them. I've had my '04 8 for 2 years now, almost at 110k miles original engine AFAIK. It's a wonderful car I'm sure you'll love it.

yup! They totaled it out since because they had to cut into the frame since its a uni body to straighten it out. It sucked cause i just dropped a good chunk of change in it. But oh well, pretty stoked about the 8. Been reading up and watching video's on the rotary motor and already looking for performance parts. Probably start buying them sometime next month.

...there isnt really anything good in charleston...i lived there for pretty much all my life also. my family still is down there but i hardly ever go back. if you want some good meets or good shops drive to charlotte.
