NC laws?
Since I will be moving to NC soon, I was wondering about a couple things. First off, what is the legal tint you can have on your windows? I currently have 35% on my front side windows, and 5% (limo black) on my rear windows. Will I get hassled for that? Second, what are the rules on emission testing? Is it required? If so, what tests do they require? How **** are the police about having a front license plate?
Thanks in advance.

35% is the legal limit on tint all the way around. A front license plate is not required in NC so you can put whatever you want up there or have nothing at all. Emission testing depends on whether you live in an "emissions county" or not.

For tint it is no more than 35% on all windows and no more than 20% reflection. Also Red and yellow tint are not allowed.
I read in one of your earlier posts that you'll be moving to Fayetteville and Cumberland county is an emission county. They do the emissions test each year when you renew your inspection. One tip, if you let your inspection lapse for too long they like to nail you with a nice $250 fine. Front plates are not required so no worries about that.
And welcome to Fayettenam, hope to see you around.
