bought my 8 in charleston SC a week and a half ago (my cousin works for palmetto jaguar that owns the mazda there, got it for invoice). just wondering if anybody else has one in the fayetteville/ft bragg area.

 

There are several here in town. Two people that I work with have 8's (both blue). I have seen silver, red and green in town as well. Assistant manager at Home Depot has a black one (purchased his the same night I did). I had a black but recently traded it.

So, the 8 is well represented in town...

 

I've got a blue 8 as well and am stationed at Bragg. I got mine in March. I've seen at least a half-dozen other 8's on post.

 

There are a ton of RX-8s around fayetteville. If you guys are interested, we could set up a fayetteville rx-8/rx-7 meet up

 

i already put this up on a new thread but thought i'd put it up here too. wondering if anybody has the cz stage 1 mod and knows how to tune it for optimal performance or if anybody knows of a shop that'll tune it. thanks.

 

I have one but there is not a place that can tune it for you. Your best bet is Garry Lee at valley mazda. I also have a light weight flywheel installed. I am looking for some more 8's to hang out with. Just let me know.

is garry lee somebody who works there? yeah the flywheel is the next mod i want to get, did you have mazda install that? i also have the RB exhaust( not installed yet), hopefully i'll get it installed friday.

 

Garry Lee is the only person there that has ever worked on my car. He is really good. He started when the RX-7 first came out. He is truly a rotary GOD.

 

Who has the green 8 with the RB exhaust. I saw it at DIV HQ today.

 

i am the one with the nordic green 8, Racing Beat exhaust ect... i also have the silver stripes. Its good knowing there are some rotary fans in the area.

 

if you want to go and zip around the great fayetteville area i'm in, it would be pretty cool to have about three or four of us spinning around in a line, in and out of traffic.

 

let me know how your flywheel install improved things, i just ordered an 8 1/2 pound one.

 

Are you going to the car show this weekend. I am going to be going with the slow joes guys because they know how to get there. But i am always game for driving with other 8's. Do you ever go to the fayettevill track.

 

what show? and yes i go to the track. I am going this sunday 1300-1700, and then im going to freaky friday at the track september 3rd.

 

I have been to the past 4 freaky fridays and I have only seen 2 other 8's the hole time.
I will not be there on sunday but will be there on the 3rd.
