damn, and I thought I was up and at work early today. geez.

ok, well, I started my prep last night, got most of my bag packed, got the camera out, reviewed some video from my last trip to RR, got blank tapes ready for this trip, and started getting all my track gear together.

new front pads arrived from rx7store, rear pads are supposed to arrive today, I sure hope so. But if the rear don't' show up, I have some left, just not full depth. work will start on the car tomorrow, need to put all the new pads on, clean the air filter on the Revi, flush the fluids, and of course put the viking horn midpipe back on.

are you signed up for Barber yet, word is, it is near full, or full. Better hurry, and I know there is a DE 2 entry for sale on the NASA forum, but it may not last long.

FYI - there is someone selling a last-minute DE3 spot at RR on Nasaforums for 150$ if you know anyone who is interested.

Just in case anyone forgot.

I got most the rest of my stuff gathered up last night, tonight, brake pads, take out the seats and try to get some sleep.

wow...50 minute classroom session.

So 180 minutes of track time is something like $1.57 per minute. Less if you factor in the classroom time and the instructor provided. NASA is a pretty good deal if you ask me.

As a comparison, flying a small plane costs something like $1.67 per minute solo and with an instructor is more like $2.08 per minute.

classroom is usually 50 minutes per. good logic for explaining it to the DW.

Are you going to tech in the evening? I may be able to get to town around 12. Can we meet up somewhere?

Does "winging it" = "stumbling down River St, trying to find our hotel"?

Teasing! Sorta!

haha, wing it, lol.

Lego, give us a shout when you are closing in on savannah. I think we are going to stop off at the hotel first, maybe see if we can check in, and then we are heading to savannah for lunch. it would be cool if we could all meet up.

I can't freakin wait. I got the track pads put on the car last night, brand new ones...w00t w00t! I will need to bed them in tonight, once traffic dies down a little. I got the seats out, and the car is waiting to have its fluids changed, and get piped. All of that happens tonight, nothing like waiting until the last minute.

rx7store. they had the best price by far, it was just a disaster from my perspective. i should not be stressed about an order arriving on time, when it was placed with plenty of time to spare. they just left me clueless on progress and status. not worth saving a few bucks.

levent, did you have any luck with making rotor vinyls that would be re-usable? can't wait to see the little 7, it makes me want one.

I placed my order over the phone. I ordered them two weeks ago. I never got any shipping info, no tracking numbers, nothing, and to find out anything I had to call them over and over. It was just more stressful than it should have been.
