NASA-SE CMP (Carolina Motorsports Park) July 14-15 !!!!!
Val- thanks - gonna check those out - been looking for them.
L8 - I am at 285/75 on the northside, so 400/285 is right on the way.
And my scrubs are way big, and too short - but they are a lot cooler than wearing jeans.

Hey guys,
Sorry I have been out of pocket lately. Been working too much
.
New Evo shows up this weekend.
I couldn't hold out any longer. I pray this one doesn't fall through.
This Evo has all my old one did, plus, it's an RS (ultra-light), and a bigger turbo, ported and tuned for road racing. 486whp on race gas, 416 on pump gas.
RA in August should be interesting. On the older surface I have gone low 1:40's with a 3500lb Evo on tires with over 14 track days on them and 310whp. The new one should easily crack deep below 1:40.
Oh, and it has a CAGE
.

ok, so, Phlash and Dano, where do we want to meet up?
TA2, when are you leaving town?
I hit a pothole yesterday, and knocked my car completely out of alignment, so now I have to add that onto my list, and will be going to see my friends at GTE this week.
I am dying to just leave town, even though I know it will do no good to be there a few days early. I have not been on the track in so long, it is killing me.

I'm sure the hot laps around RA didn't do anything to help that!
Sorry bout your alignment. If you make it down to GTE before I get down to pick my wheels up... take a pic and show me what they look like. I'm dying to see em.

I am toying with the idea and it wouldn't take much to take me over the edge..
For a couple hundred bucks more (We could share the hotel) you get an all you can eat day.
You been reeeaal good, it's about time you make up some of that lost track time...
I am not going until Thursday afternoon, I don't have time between now and then to go at any other time, and I won't be driving much, so I don't fear hurting my tires.
I wish, the CFO would kill me, and my office would kill me. We are really havign a rough week, lots to do, and a key partner is leaving, so we are figuring out how to make up for him leaving us.
If you don't go over on Thursday, what are your plans for a Friday departure?
I was thinking that we could meet up at the parking lot of Perimeter mall, or the Home Depot Expo, it is right off the exit at Ashford Dunwoody, and would be easy to hang out a few minutes if someone is running behind. I don't want to wait on the side of the road, and don't want to create a rendezvous point too far off the interstate.
Wanna go up on Thursday and do Friday with Turn One?

Got an idea for you on a meeting spot.
map=
If the map link works - go past Ashford Dunwoody (always a madhouse) and go to next exit - Chamblee Dunwoody/N Peachtree. At the end of the exit ramp, you can left/right/or straight. Go straight - there is an access rd called Savoy Dr that runs just inside the interstate. At the bottom of the hill, past the first light there is a Taco Bell and a Wendy's a little further down. Also an Olde Mill Steakhouse.
The great part is - exit - straight thru the light - hit food joint - take right on to same road - and it goes directly back on to 285. Just a suggestion. Ashford is usually a cluster f#ck to get in and out of.

I'm open, I'm all for straight on, eat, straight off,......just let me know the time.....I have nothing to do in the am so just driving to the meeting spot. How long from there to CMP?
It's a great exit to do a meet.
I can't specify what is on it now. I know Olde Mill Steakhouse, but I think the Wendy's is just past that, and the Taco Bell before. Preference? There is an Arby's around there also.
Phlash - driven that route several times - call it 210 miles of interstate to Columbia. Then maybe another hour tops to the hotel. Track is maybe 30 min north of that.
L8 - I can do Noon. Let's nail it all down so we have a good sched. Sorry, I am **** about scheds.

noon sounds good to me, I am a little OCD about schedules too, but it is not obvious or anything.
Phlash, I will have two walkie talkies, hopefully they will once again play nice with your fancy pants radios.

Have fun guys, you will be less than 2 hours from my house .... yet, I will be driving back from Utah..
Enjoy the festival of humidity, and remember the fuse box on the trailer controls the AC.
Oh, and it has already started, new set of Toyos 275 enroute to wrap the 18x9.5 rims.
Later.

Congrats on the car. Did you seal the deal or working it out still? I knew you would have a hard time walking away from an EVO unless you went to some kind 0f American iron instead (like a Cobra or a Vette).
I have to say that as excited as I am about tracking this weekend, my attention is divided between it and vacation, which has dampened my enthusiasm. Guess once I get on the road Friday, I will be focused. Or maybe when I pick up my wheels from Gran Tourismo and smell the fresh rubber on my RA1s and see those new 17" wheels.... OK that did it, now I'm in the mood.
