STF - I am trying to get your video hosted too.

if silver needs space, tell him to take off all of my vids, everyone wants to see yours, since you actually pass people...and I dont.

SilverEIGHT 10-25-2005 06:12 PM

Hang in there guys, I'm working on things. trhoads, I plan to keep yours in place.

Stop&TurnFreak 10-25-2005 06:37 PM

thanks, brimming with excitement......

:Eyecrazy:  ;) :evil_laug

Stop&TurnFreak 10-25-2005 07:01 PM

Did you time any of your other sessions? I think you might have run some faster laps, when you could get wound up.

SilverEIGHT 10-25-2005 07:08 PM

:jump:

They are up!

Downloading......THANKS.

STF, yours has a LOT of tower talk going on. Best to turn the volume down. Needs some editing. I'll leave it up for a while.

TrackAddict - You-da-man! :D:

L8APEX 10-25-2005 08:07 PM

trackaddict, was there a car that you did NOT pass. Holy sh!+ man, you went around everything in front of you. I need to take lessons from you, are you going to become an instructor anytime soon?

Nice driving.

I noticed that it looks like your steering wheel is moved up pretty high. Is that to make Heel-'n'toe a little easier?

Yea, I'm working with it right now. I want to see if I can save it down to a smaller size. It's HUGE! The quality is definitely better. Quicktime is awesome.

Stop&TurnFreak 10-25-2005 08:44 PM

TrackAd....The vid turned out very good. You were passing everyone out there. Good runs, and you looked pretty consistent too. I think I may have to retire my name, and let you be the Freak now.

Next time, you will be in group 3, right? You know who else is in group 3, right? :)

SilverEIGHT 10-25-2005 08:52 PM

TA... I would love to see the build up to passing those cars. You were chewing them up and spitting them out. I thought passing that Saleen was too cool. How is it that this little engine can do such damage on the track to big blocks? I know the driver has a lot to do with it... just damn!

Stop&TurnFreak 10-25-2005 10:53 PM

My buddy Steve, Cobra guy, took these of me on track. I got them via email tonight. Check them out and tell me what you think.....

Nice Save, and @ 6 minutes lead follow.....

Short Vid of Evo on-track

Tell me what you think.... :)

SilverEIGHT 10-26-2005 01:44 AM

After working with TrackAddict's videos I would like to request that all submission be in Quicktime. I was able to save his master 155 meg file down to a manageable 11.5 megs. I replaced the .mpg file with the smaller .mov file on my site. It's smaller but everything is there. I have to do this to conserve space.

i am not sure, but was the Saleen in HPDE 1. He was with me at RA, and he was giving the point by to everyone, even my slow ass. He had no idea what he was doing, everytime we saw him, my instructor made comments about what a waste of a good car.

Stop&TurnFreak 10-26-2005 07:10 AM

Don't bash folks, they are learning, just the same. I have known folks to do this stuff more for the friends, and less for the hardcore driving experience. Everyone has to start somewhere.

For me, I was so slow, that my dad used to oil my brakes before I would go on-track, so I woudl go in the corners harder.

Phlash 10-26-2005 07:13 AM

Nice edit job.....LOL!!!! Sorry about the crap quality tower vids......I kept loosing STF in traffic and had to look up from the camera to find him again......

Slayer......the pass master.......nice video.....

STF...nice save.....

sorry, i did not mean to sound like I was bashing the guy. But when someone does not pay attention in class, does not follow the rules, and does not listen when the instructors tell him that he needs to follow the rules. Sorry, to me that qualifies as not knowing what he is doing. had I come out and called the guy names, and insulted his mother, that might have been bashing. ;)

Hey, I was slow as hell, I got passed by a guy in a Miata, almost every session. I had no idea what I was doing the first session, but I learned, and made progress.

i wonder if that was the same guy that was at RA, there was a middle aged guy, he had a red one, and put the checkered flag tape all over it. I thought it was hilarious, can you picture that return:

"sir, the tires seem to have melted, can you explaing that"
"well, I tell ya, turn 12 is a real kicker, you carry a lot of speed thru that one" :shocking:

L8APEX 10-26-2005 08:15 AM

^i am betting, that most of that got him in trouble when returning that car. He must have been pushing the car pretty hard to have completely killed the tires. But it is hilarious.
