Here is another event to put in your calendar. I have been wanting to drive CMP for some tiime now and experience some of the other tracks in the SE.
I am signed up and confirmed in HPDE3 for this. Post up if you plan on coming.

I'm a "possible" for this one. Do you have a link for NASA? I haven't run with them in over 3 years. I'm new to N. Carolina so I'm also looking forward to exploring some of the nearby tracks. Was at VIR in late March (in the NSX). Heading to VIR to spectate this Sunday at GrandAm race. (BTW- it's on SPEED at 1pm.)

...and yes, Logokcen, my old '79 RX7 did blow up at VIR a few years back.

Sorry to hear about the 79. I'd like to get my 84 track ready for the next Roebling event in Sept. I hope it will be reliable. The guy doing time trials in his 1st gen blew his motor going into turn 1. Said he reved too high and now it has gotten me nervous.
CMP is FUN. Steve and I will be there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday next weekend with the Mustang folks.....www.ponytales.org.
BTW, /sniff sniff/ I smell some R compounds......32VCobra???? 1:57's ???? He will be SMOKIN fast now. I guess my little Evo 'finally' has some competition.

No offense, but this is one of the 'premier' tracks in the SE. I would pay this one, and work Roebling, were I you. I know you couldn't get a free one till later next year, but trust me, this track is awesome, and it plays to the RX8 in most of the time is in the corners, unlike Road Atlanta and Roebling, where you can make up 3+ seconds with just horsepower.
No ofense taken, believe me, if I had the $$, I would try and talk my way into driving this one. But I don't, thus the work to play theory. I have just spent a lot on the car and track time this year, and need to try and figure out how to cut that back a bit. Outside of becoming an instructor, which could never happen, I don't see another way to cut costs. Expensive hobby I know, so I will do what I can to get on track.
I plan to have some serious instruction recorded to video/audio next weekend. I will make it available for you guys so it will give you a heads up for this NASA event.
I'm getting bigtime excited!
