I'm a "possible" for this one. Do you have a link for NASA? I haven't run with them in over 3 years. I'm new to N. Carolina so I'm also looking forward to exploring some of the nearby tracks. Was at VIR in late March (in the NSX). Heading to VIR to spectate this Sunday at GrandAm race. (BTW- it's on SPEED at 1pm.)

I'm signing up for June 3-4 at this track with the Mustang Club. If I like it I may sign up for this NASA event also.

I'm a dum bass! Trying to schedule too many events and was not paying attention. I plan to do Saturday at the PANOZ Road Atlanta event this weekend.

I'd like to work this too. Then I get to go to one for free. My road racing buddies tell me that brake ducts are a good idea at CMP. It's supposed to be hell on them.

I can go through a set of front pads in one event, if pushing hard enough. And that was on street tires.

...and yes, Logokcen, my old '79 RX7 did blow up at VIR a few years back.

Sorry to hear about the 79. I'd like to get my 84 track ready for the next Roebling event in Sept. I hope it will be reliable. The guy doing time trials in his 1st gen blew his motor going into turn 1. Said he reved too high and now it has gotten me nervous.

It's official folks, I will be "thundering" around CMP on July 15-16. I just sent an email to Julie to apply my Roebling credit towards CMP.

Lookin' forward to try out a new track!

BTW, /sniff sniff/ I smell some R compounds......32VCobra???? 1:57's ???? He will be SMOKIN fast now. I guess my little Evo 'finally' has some competition.

I am going to see about working this event. If I work this one, and RA in August, my rematch with Roebling in September will be free, and much easier on the wallet.

No offense, but this is one of the 'premier' tracks in the SE. I would pay this one, and work Roebling, were I you. I know you couldn't get a free one till later next year, but trust me, this track is awesome, and it plays to the RX8 in most of the time is in the corners, unlike Road Atlanta and Roebling, where you can make up 3+ seconds with just horsepower.

No ofense taken, believe me, if I had the $$, I would try and talk my way into driving this one. But I don't, thus the work to play theory. I have just spent a lot on the car and track time this year, and need to try and figure out how to cut that back a bit. Outside of becoming an instructor, which could never happen, I don't see another way to cut costs. Expensive hobby I know, so I will do what I can to get on track.

I plan to have some serious instruction recorded to video/audio next weekend. I will make it available for you guys so it will give you a heads up for this NASA event.
I'm getting bigtime excited!

This needs to be your next upgrade before going to CMP.

Bling Bling

CMP was my first track as a student, and was the one event, and (that same event) is where I was signed off for instructor. . Nothing like a fast learner?
