anyone around here drive a Rx-8?

 

I don't live there, but drive through there almost weekly, sometimes in my 8. If you see a Ti flying by on I-24, it might be me.

 

Yep! Not many of us in the 'boro. I've got a Titanium Grey 04 with 54K happy high revvin miles on it. Love it! My Canzoomer box and test pipe are currently off for the recall. I ran into a red one at the gas station here in M'boro and invited her to the forum for a look see.

Sounds cool Turok. With the doors and wheels I'm guessing you've had it a while. How long have you had yours?

 

since last august...lambo doors, Axid Mod black wheel, underbody LEDs, body kit, clear corners, Pioneer AVIC-N1 dvd/nav, n64 system, xm radio, gps, 15% tint, 1200 watt Sony Xplod Amp, 1200 wat Sony Xpox 10" subwoofer...i think that's it

 

I'm a little north of Chattanooga. You all outta come run some crack, I mean track and stuff with the GA RX8 group (yeah, I'm the outsider). We have a blast and we'd love to have you along.....

I am in that area a lot too, Hendersonville, Gallatin, and Hermitage. Just played the Hermitage golf course last week. Don't see many 8's around there, seen a couple, just not many.

that's why we are recruiting ... I've seen a few. turok4n64 and I already exchanged contact numbers. We are thinking about picking a day and a place to actually meet, so if you are up for it you can p.m. turok or myself.

Hell, I'll go where ever......heck, for once I would be in the middle of the events instead of north of them all the time. All it takes is one good initial gathering (like a crack, I mean track, event or carting night). That establishes the core group. Of the seven folks we started with in the GA group almost two years ago, will still have five in our core. I trust those core folks on and off crack. Our group is growing, but those five cores are hangin' strong. I'm sure the TN group will will do the same....just gotta get that first big hook in there.

I think the NASA-Mid folks (the folks that helped the SE NASA group get started) and the events they do would be closer for the Nashville folks. They do crack like VIR, NMS, Summit Point, CMP (ooooooooo, a crossover event), Mid Ohio, etc. I would like to do VIR.......hmmmmm.........

getting a good group together is a lot of fun, I have made some really good friends through a connection so small as a car. Guys that I think I would still be frineds with, if the car were not a part of it anymore. Which ain't happenin, so they are stuck with me.

turok, were you on 840 going south, at about 9 a.m. yesterday. I saw a yellow 8 with black wheels, figured it had to be you. My boss and I were going north, but not in my 8.

20 minutes from downtown. North of downtown towards Knoxville right off of 75.

 

oh yea? do you know about the east TN region autocross this sunday? It's in Adesa or something...right past where you live. I'll be there most likely

 

yeah that was me! i think i'm the only yellow rx8 in this area, and especially the only yellow rx8 with black wheels in tenneessee!

 

Yo - Phlash, I'm buying a house in Cleveland TN next month.

I had many fun years in 3 RX-7's. The last one was wicked fast until a big truck pulled out in front of me.
Now I'm prowling around for an affordable RX-8. I plan to keep it closer to stock.

 

I live in Knoxville... anybody close?
