MRCCFL....meet and event May 29-30th
Hey guys/gals,
Just letting you all know that there is a drifting event at Homestead speedway. http://www.driftshowoff.com/index.ph...nel=main/miami
Ive decided to do a meet for it, ive contacted the people invloved and im awaiting word back if anything can be worked out....ie price breaks, parking....etc. As it stands now the north guys will meet at Tower Shops and drive down to Dolphin Mall to meet the miami guys and then on to the speedway. I suggest getting a sunpass as we will be using the turnpike and don't want to lose anyone waiting in toll lines....which you guys down south now is a pain. As i find out more details i will post up and let everyone know. Hope to see you guys out there.

OK i spoke with the person in charge, and it seems that something can be worked out. Its not final yet, but i need a preliminary head count for who is going, also if you would be interested in entering your car in the show. Theres 2 parts, 1 where it is an actual show competition where you will be up for prizes. 2 you'll enter the show but be listed as display only where you wont win any prizes. What im working on is for all of us to be parked together. So please post up or pm me if you are in either for attendance or for entry. As i find out more details i will let everyone know.

OK guys/gals,
Its official. I just got off the phone with the person involved. Based off the other forums, Sunday is the better day for everyone. Heres what i was able to work out.
For $25 you and your car will be part of the show in the display area. We will all be parked together in the show area on the infield. That price covers your admission and entry for the show, passengers pay regular admission charges.
In order to get this price we MUST have at least 10 cars for the show. Any less and the regular charges will apply. Based on the previous posts it seems we will have that number, so please if you say you are coming PLEASE DO SO. The money will be paid to the people at the gate the day of the show.
So post up and confirm that you are coming and lets make a good rotary showing at the event. I will be posting up the caravan info also. See you all there.

North guys....
We will meet at Tower Shops at 9am. WE WILL be leaving Towers by 9:30am, that should give you stragglers some time..... We will head out to meet the guys in Miami at the Dolphin Mall.
Miami guys.....
Be at Dolphin Mall no later than 10:30am as we will all be leaving as soon as the north guys arrive. From there we all roll into Homestead together. If anyone wants to head up the meet at the mall please just post up.
As said before if you don't already have sunpass, it is very adviseable to get one as we will be taking the turnpike and we don't want to lose anyone at the toll plazas.

If we are going to be in the show, do we have to be there all day? Can one leave once inside the show area? I'm most likely going but not really interested in having my car in the show... Its pretty much stock, except for the sound system...

Oh shizzle!
First it was maybe I'll go, then for sure I'll go, now I just realized the autocross is happening that day! Dagnabit!
So back to my original question. Can I get there later than 11am?
I'd like to do both, but if I cant I'll decide on what to go to. Prolly homestead since I plan on doing the HPDE on June 12th, and that should be enough driving fun for a few weeks :D

I'm I the only thats going to be at dolphin? If so, Dave n Busters is ok with me... or you can give me a call when u are close to the exit and I'll just hop on, that way u don't have to get off the turnpike... There is a toll on the south ramp, that you'll save on...

To reiterate....the north guys are meeting at Tower Shops by 9-9:30am. We then leave towers together at 9:30 to go to meet the miami guys at D&B at the Dolphin Mall. We will be leaving the mall by 10:30am and convoy into Homestead Speedway.
Also if you don't already have your sunpass it is very adviseable that you get it, as we will be taking the turnpike and i don't want to lose anyone at the toll plazas. The route we are taking will be from the north leaving towers.....west on I-595 to I-75 south, pick up the turnpike from I-75. Again my number is posted above please call if any questions.

Sorry guys, I didn't realize that this was on memorial day weekend, we have a family bbq every year up in dania beach... So I'm going to the show on saturday instead. Sorry maybe nex time.
