TECH SESSION and COOKOUT

PLACE: the CORONEL HOUSE in Riverview
TIME - ALL DAY IF NEED BE

This is going to be the first tech session of the new year. Everyone from both groups (Miata/RX8) are welcome. This is the pre-race weekend for some. If you need a place to work on your car and need advice from others, this is the place and the time to do it. If you aren't working on your car, come by anyway, have a beer, play with the dogs, drive the 6-speed lawnmower because I need to cut my lawn. We will be providing the cook-out (burgers and dogs) and beverages (cheap domestic beer).

There is a long drive way, enough for 10-12 cars plus plenty of additional parking. The garage is first come first serve. All the tools (air, mig welder, jacks, stands, wrenches, etc..) are here, but i suggest bringing specialized tools if needed.

Anyone else interested please post so I may get a head count on the food.

I do have a few things to do under the car... This is the day after the monthly CF rx8 meet as well.

 

PM me if you guys need directions to my house! It's okay to come if you don't have a mod and just hang out. We can help or watch Evil install his guages and be drunk at the same time.

 

Holy Crap guys!!! My husband said the tech session will begin at 8am! I guess there are a lot of people that want to start early. Some of the mods so far are: install of intercooler, welding of an exhaust, install of swaybars, and an install of guages on an RX-8.

We will be supplying the burgers and dogs and beer. Please feel free to bring any food or beverages to help us out. It sounds like it may be an all day event. Look forward to seeing everyone!

I will have coffee ready if anyone wants to come that early, I may be in my PJs still LOL!

Ha ha! Betsey is grumpy in the morning.

 

James has air tools. I'll bring my small compressor and tools, too. Does anyone need to make use of my 4x6 bandsaw? Its called a 4x6 because it will cut through 4"x6" of material. Makes quick work of exhaust pipe! Also flips up vertically and will do scroll cuts. I'm happy to bring it if someone requests, but SOMEONE MUST REQUEST.

This will be a VERY technical day for the RX8 group!

 

Evil, check the ESMTB site, Ferg was asking about your tool.....not that you are a tool....but if the shoe is a moccasin....

anyway, if you guys didn't notice in Pete's last post, he is attempting to drop hints. The RX-8 mods that we will be doing on Sunday so far are......install of guage cluster, install of computer, and a relocation of the battery to the trunk........why? well you will have to come to the tech session to see.....

if you guys have any other mods you want to do, let us know, sounds like it will be a busy day......

RX8honey, do you want to install that RAM air duct?

KYLiquid what's up your sleeve/sleave?(college did not improve my spelling- argh) If anyone has extra jack stands please bring them, we have 2 sets, but it may be a busy day.

 

ok so I wont be able to make it, i have decied to go to the autox that day. Its not that I dont have love for yall, but I want to start this season and run all the points events to see how I can do it the much larger RX8. Sorry. See you all on sat I guess

We had 12 cars! It was great. Most of the group arrived at 8am and the final two cars left at 11pm. What a day, but there were so many serious mods this tech session it was worth it.
