Okay, I'll ask.

FOUR subwoofers? Does your health plan cover the hearing aid you'll need a few years from now? I am not even kidding here.

Man, my doors rattle with the BASE stereo turned up... I can't imagine what happens with aftermarket stuff. With THIS system, I reckon the doors just fall OFF.

And I don't know what "rims" are, but your WHEELS look nice.

good looking rims on your car.

Wow, four 12's?! Aren't they underpowered though with only 2 - 500 watt amps?

The wheels look nice, but I don't undertand the overkill stereo (especially in a sports car). Why add 200 lbs. to a perfectly balanced sportscar? You could have done this to an SUV instead.

Yea, I hardly turn the stereo up when I drive. I love hearing the sound of the 8's engine.

Those are nice wheels Yo !
and the system w/ 4-12's is off the hook !
You still got plenty of room in the trunk ... and if you need more then dont put a fat kid in the back seat... I think the best color that the 8's came with is that Pewter Silver color you got there... its fresh Yo! the wheels look like they are Hyperblack right ? Good going .. you gotta a nice ride.. what is next ? The supercharger i saw in RX Tuner magazine .. the company is in Australia : www.performancedesign.com.au

There is a guy here in Miami in my club that has the GREDDY turbo in his cobalt blue RX8 and he got it tuned just right where he hasnt had any problems. If you decide on it then send me an email and i will put you in contact with him. At least like that you two can speak the same language and perhaps get some tips... just let me know

Why would you help a yuppie?

According to this on the RX7 site you posted we are a bunch of yuppie's

What fun is there belonging to a club whose main emphasis is catering to the 8 ?
We changed our name from SOFLA RX7 CLUB to just RX so all would be welcomed to attend. If you saw the Clearwater event meet ... it was all about the 8.. Thier poster child.... some 7 owners told me that it was so clique-ish.. a bunch of yups in their abercrombie fitch hollister topsider boatshoes wearing attitudes. Reminds me of the V-ROD that was geared to the same Yuppie mentality. The club in Central Florida that I have worked in getting together its all about the Rotary and all Rotary powered vehicles are welcome to join... After all that is what it should be about.

It is also nice to know you have a boyfriend also.

nice of robrxray to label us all inbreads also

RX7 people are the true lovers of the wankel motor whereas the RX8 is the poster child look nice car for the Yuppie inbreed types of which I met this past saturday at HMS.

I'm not sure why anyone owning an 8 would even talk to a tool like you...

3rd gen owners used to get the same attitude when the car first came out. Elitest, snobs, whatever else 1st and 2nd gen owners could come up with, all because some wouldn't wave or more than likely, didn't know about the other generation RX-7's. Some RX-8 owners probably don't know much about the RX-7's or RX-4, 3, and 2's. Not everyone is going to think the older ones are cool or interesting just because they have a rotary in it. So at meets, they aren't going to show an interest in talking about those. All depends on the owners. The local RX-8 guys in Atlanta are great. I was the only FD at a track day in Atlanta and I never felt out of place. Like I said, great bunch of guys.

The wheels look good. What do they weigh? The system install looks very clean, but filling the trunk with subs just isn't my thing. But as far as the all-around looks go (car, wheels, box), ya done good.

JMoney...
I spoke to Mike who has the GReddy turbo system in his 8.. He said that its an Emanagement kit... he is overboosting that can make it unstable but he said that the solution was to either put bigger injectors or what he did was to install 2 addtional injectors... and it works great... he's got close to 60+ HP more out of his 8.. It was nice to see him go side by side on the highway against a SRT4... that 8 was flying... side by side with an FD he was quick but the 7 had the top end advantage.. .. cool nonetheless... i think one of the guys in our group has a video of it...

Tim, guess I was lucky when I bought my 3rd gen. All the local Tampa rotaries (1st and 2nd gens - Scott Neville didn't get out in his RX-3 much) seemed genuinely friendly and I almost always got a wave.

You had to be pretty hard core rotary to get a new 3rd gen. There were so few around and while all the reviews spoke highly of their performance, most complained even more highly about their discomfort. Personally, I loved the feel, even though I ended up doubling the spring rates.

And SOFLARX comments aside, I haven't had anything but good experiences with other rotaries. Just yesterday a 1st gen driver went out of his way to wave while I was following him in my 8.

Otherwise, it's all good.
