Good Bodyshop around Pensacola

Anybody know a good bodyshop in or around the Pensacola area? I am looking at getting a bodykit one of these days, and need a good place to spray and mount it. Thanks.

I thought I had the info saved here, but I think it's at home. There's a guy that does bodywork in a shop behind his house and does EXCELLENT work. He did some repairs (dents, paintwork, etc.) on a buddy's FD and another guy's TT Supra, and the work turned out awesome. PM me a reminder and I'll see what I can dig up.

There's also some guy that V&T uses that does good work - I've seen the results, good clean paint with no orange peel.

H&D Laboratories is the best place i know of around this area. Its in Pcola and they did my 99 protege and did a great job painting and installing. Price was good too.

dcfc3s, we might know the same guy, don't know the contact info, but I know how to drive there. His name's Brian (or something similar). He's near the fairground, just off of Pine Forest Road?

I'm having my car done there next week or so. Buddy of mine had a bunch of stuff done to his 300Z. He's good at cutting deals cause he doesn't advertise. My ins. is paying him to repair my bumper, and he's going to buff out all the scratches on my car for free.

ScudRunner:
If you want we can meet up somewhere on Thursday or this weekend and drive out to his shop. Just PM me.

Thanks for the info Labop. Took me a while to reply cuz I've been out of town for a bit with no internet. Plus, I almost forgot about this thread. Now if Racing Beat would just release their body kit, I could buy the pieces I want and go pay this guy a visit. On a related note, I am looking to get some seriously custom stereo work/fabrication done. Anyone got any good leads on that?

Scud,

Lots of changes since I last saw the car. Looks great! I'm sure it drives wonderfully too. How do the 19s feel? Take care and stay safe out there.

legokcen,

Thanks. Like the 19's so far, but it's probably the 245 tires vs the stock ones that make the biggest difference. And I definitely opened Pandora's Box by starting to customize things, because now I can't seem to stop.

scud, that's what my wife's afraid of, which is why she whined so much about the cost of tinting and clear corners. Guess I can forget the performance mods.

I just dropped my car off at his garage yesterday. Either USAA or Enterprise figured I wouldn't mind driving a Ford Taurus for a week. Sonsabitches. No problems with USAA until this. They reserved the rent-a-crap-car for me..., I think they'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes... ROFL. I guess it will make me appreciate the 8 more after I get it back. :D

Let me ask my wife about the stereo install. One of her coworkers dates a guy with a bunch of hookups for audio install. Can't remember who she said was the best. I know she's mentioned Outlaws a few times. I'll ask her when she gets home.

OK, I got my car back from Brian's. She looks beautiful. You can't see the dents, the scratches are nearly gone (not from the accident) but one was pretty deep and would have had to entirely refinish the door.

Unfortunatly..., this is their first rotary, and my car left on the back of a tow truck. When they moved my car into the paint booth from the yard..., they turned her right off. That was the morning it got down to 43F. I hadn't told them about the cold start procedures.

We jacked up the car, pulled the rear plugs, about halfway through a tripple jointed routine to ther the front plugs, I noticed the access pannel on the side. We cleaned them out, put them back in, still no start. Mazda *might* be able to get to it this week.

Not Brian's fault, I'll still go back there, though he did help me with getting the plugs out, he bought me lunch and offered me a really good discount on repainting my door. Plus, he now knows the cold-start and flood-start procedurers for the RX-8.

***Edit, I asked my wife about the custom audio install, I was right, Outlaws is the place to go.***
