I've been down to TGPR with STF a few times. The track usually goes green at 8am and stays green until 5pm. I'd recommend getting to the track by 7:30am just so we can all say hello and have our cars ready to go at 8am. STF will lay down the law for us.

I'm looking forward to this too. TGPR is a short track but it's a blast to drive. If you've never had a private day at a track, you're in for a treat. It's a different experience than your usual HPDE event.

It is a 3 hour trip for me. I think it best to make a Friday PM trip. Anyone interested in riding over and getting a room close to the track for one night? I don't think I want to get up at 4:00 AM and go racing all day after driving 3 hours. Yea, I'm definitely going on Friday! I rather be fresh and ready to go on Saturday.

So, if I have a flat on the track, can I call Mazda for road support?

now that you mention it, that might not be a bad idea. I was not aware that we would be starting so early. It may be a Friday evening ride over for me too. I will think about it a little more as it gets closer to time to decide.

Guys, send me an email to trackday@32vcobra.com, and I will reply with my personal home address.

I am siked, I just got off the phone with 32v, we can't wait.

Guys, I want all of you to think of one thing you want to accomplish on that day. Be realistic in your goals, I mean you can't say you want to outrun 32v or anything .

But, I won't you to sincerely evaluate where you are, and what you need, and that way I can ensure I keep you on-task while there Saturday.

As Steve said, I guarantee you will learn a great deal about yourself and about what you cars can and cannot do.

Now, on a sad note, my car leaves Wednesday, for Chicago. Farewell fair Evo, you leave me a pup to return a wolf.

No anticipation, the day will come like all others. Seriously, it will be here and gone, before we know it.

apparently, STF has already tried to show you at Roebling, you must be a slow learner.

I believe he did that with Lego as well and Lego thought he meant to do it.... the wimper was because it was my car, not his, his first time out in it...

Okay...I concur...car home in the same condition it goes down in minus some tread is number 1.
2....smooth.......smooth....smooth.....gotta let up on the death grip.
3....work on corner entry downshifts at "don't brake until you see God" speed.
4 ....See what me and the car can do without DSC

Hey Apex, not that it matters, but you know they have a skidpad........

I know. I saw that in the aerials. We may have to warm the tires up that way.

I will be leaving DSC on, after last weeks autox, Ifound out that this car breaks away faster than I thought. It might have been due to very thin tread, but it was quick. I will be leaving DSC on. See rule number 1.

It's not possible to have one goal :D

1. Have more fun than I've ever had in my life!
2. Learn where to start a turn and where to hit the apex.
3. Wear my tires out! Hopefully there will not be any ice for the trip home.
4. Have more fun than I've ever had in my life!

You have a lot more experience with the car, and as we all know are a very good driver. I am still learning. I dont have a lot of experience with catching the car. Usually a little correction does put the car back on line. Maybe I will try a fw with it off once I get comfy onthe track.

I may also get you to ride with me a bit TA, since you know the car pretty good.

It is my intent to leave the DSC and TCS off during the entire event unless someone tells me otherwise. I'd like to learn from the start how the car handles so I do not have to retrain myself later.
