Ok, we have decided, we are going to have a group meet, on September 15th, at 7 PM, at the top level of the parking deck in a shopping center across from Perimeter mall. I will try to get more details about the shopping center name, and I will make sure there is no fee to park there. I will also get a map made up to make it easy to get to the parking deck. It would be nice to get as many of us there as possible, there are plenty of places to eat around there, good food, and good drink. So, lets see how many 8's we can get to show up.

im new to the RX-8 scene, i would love to be there. Can you give more info? (how long, where were going, etc..) cuz Nopi Nationals is gonna be here that weekend.

If I look into my crystal ball, I see a bunch of people showing up between 6:30 and 7:30, eventually going in to some A/C to get some food and beverages and generally b.s. After a bit, everyone will go outside to show off exhausts, wheels, and other mods. General b.s. will continue. Those with curfews (i.e. the married one's) will have to leave before it gets "too late" and things will generally break up. Smaller groups may proceed elsewhere TBD.

I am now turning off my crystal ball. Hope that helps

 

yeah, those of us with curfews will not be out all night.

I will be posting a better map, and some real names of places soon. The shopping center I am talking about, is the one right across from Perimeter mall, the one with the new target, that upscale apartment complex, the Taco Mac and the Cheeseburger in paradise place. The parking deck is right next to the Taco Mac and Carrabba's.

 

ok, I'm putting this out early. Went to a Cheeseburger in Paradise in Greenville, SC. Let me just say I have had better burgers at Hardly's. Please, dont anyone suggest we eat there.

Taco Mac is always good. Maybe we can take over the patio. I believe the name of that whole area is Perimiter Place..

Flip_Sole - Nopi continues to Sunday as well - less crowds that day too. This will be worth your time!!

 

how close is this to hampton GA where nopi is being held..ill come if ill be able to get there in time

 

Well, it's on your way back sort of - the top end of Atlanta, basically 400 & 285. It'd take you off of 75 by about 15 minutes each way... You driving all the way back to Nashville on Sat. night from Nopi? That's a haul...

 

Cheeseburger in Paradise wasn't good?
I didn't know they had one in ATL, and will be trying it sometime.

I ate at the one right on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii and it was friggin awesome.
So good, I actually got a hat from there. Maybe I caught them on a good day.
But for the meet, wherever is good with me.

 

I would never cut off any franchise for one bad meal and maybe it was just the Greenville store, but there are too many fine eateries in ATL to settle for mediocre.

 

we will probably start back on sat and stay somewhere on the way. I forogt we are actually going to bring the truck..i think.. so we can load up on parts. its only 4 hours anyway..and after the whole day in that heat im ready to go at a decent time.

My buddy lives in those apartments, so I know exactly where they are.

Hello this is Brett aka Bigcahunna. I am a recent rx-8 owner i have a 2004 i bought used. I feel in love with the rotary engine when i went to Tech school. Anyway I am going to be at this event. As long as i dont get my car impounded for driving to fast.
