Good to know about the trams L8APEX, and good point SilverEIGHT about the sun. I keep forgetting I'm in the South. Summer in England is about 2 weeks if you're lucky and a heat wave is 70 degrees. Her car seat/infant carrier has a sun shade, so I guess that will work, and lots of sunscreen and a sun hat. Thanks for the heads up!

I may have made a mistake on that post. Stay tuned as Last year we did have a Miata join us in the Corral. I will get in touch with Barber and make sure there are no problems. We have other vehicles that would like to join in with us and that would make it even more fun.

CORRECTION TO EARLIER STATEMENT:
Heather at BARBER said we would be able to park other cars (sports cars) in our corral as long as they are with our club. Mustang, Miata, Panoz Roadster, Viper... all welcome if you are a friend of the club and purchase through our club registration online.

I was doing some checking and most of the hotels within 10 miles of the track are already booked up. I'm going to keep searching, and I'll let you know what, if anything, I find. If you are planning to stay up there, and you want to PM me and let me know, I'll see what I can find for the dates you want, and see if we can get a group rate somewhere.

ahh crap, I had not thought about booking a hotel yet. And now they are all full. Guess I might need to find one a few miles away. Who else is going to stay Saturday night...

Ya'll might want to check Lincoln and Oxford which are about 35 miles away if there is nothing closer. I personally live between the two and it takes about 20 to 30 min to get there, depending on traffic. There is a lot of construction between Oxford and Barbers. Just a thought!

If it's open, we're trying for the Comfort Inn (or super 8) in Oxford. We've stayed there due to a hurricane.

 

There is also a decetn Hampton Inn in Oxford, we stayed there when we did TGPR in January. It would be an option. I will check and see if it is booked up.

 

I could not find anything on the BARBER website about camping so I wrote an email to Heather. Will post as soon as I here back.

 

Question......am I the only one just going for Saturday? I am thinking about bringing my son but didn't have plans to stay the night.
