Just got back from Barber with Chin. WOW, WOW, WOW. What a great track! And make sure you take an hour or two to see the Motorcycle display at the entrance!

That track has some interesting art all around it. See if you can spot all the statues around the track! I couldn't see I was driving it, yet on a couple of ride alongs I did spot some weird things, like the driver being eaten by an ant?

I look forward to see which track I like better, Barber or Road Atlanta. And Chin is a great organization, you can get 4 to 5 hours of track time per day if you want. I could only do 3.5 hours per day since you get so worn out!

It's beginning to look like the 7 won't make it to the race; seems my air flow meter is bad and keeping the car from running.

As for location - Thorton Rd. Exit looks pretty good, as anyone near Metro ATL will have to pass by there heading West. Is there a large parking lot there abouts to meet up at (I'm kinda new)?
Is this on 20? Do you know the exit number?? Hell, for that matter, do you know how to get to Barber from there?

Have we started a food list yet???

Phew! This is on I20, exit 44 -IHOP. Barber is extremely easy from this spot, as it is right off I20 just East of Birmingham.

Check the first post in this thread for food lists etc... I'm in for bringing waters (we'll need alot) fresh fruit, and some other munchies. Silver, can you please update post 1 with the exit # for the IHOP? TIA -

I know that Silver has some hats, and a few shirts left. He is on vacation right now, so we might need to remind him to bring all of them next week when he gets back.

SO, to everyone who has posted that they are going, have you gotten your tickets, is the list on post #1 still good, and has anyone contacted the folks at Barber to tell them just how many cars we will need space for in the car corral? By my count, we are at 29, with a few TBD's. Looks like it is going to be a great turnout, it will be good to see good friends, and meet a LOT of new people.

I've got my tickets, but it looks like the RX-7 won't make it. I'll end up driving my Tacoma instead.

My contact told me they will park as many tickets as we sell. I think they will print out a report to see what they have to deal with.
My daughter won't be coming as she will be away at camp.

SilverEIGHT and I will be there early enough on Saturday to watch the cart races. I think there will be groups arriving throughout the morning.

we are going to try and make the # 2 caravan(coming from Macon). I am bringing 3 people plus myself (wife, 16 yr old daughter and her "friend"). My daughter is going to be a surprise for ya'll. You wont believe I had anything to do with her conception! Plus she LOVES cars--put my front clip back on herself(well--almost).
we are bringing bar-b-que and some other snacks etc--
sounds like it is going to be a blast.

We need to finalize the food list. Put me down for hotdogs.

Also, I will join caravan #1 on I-20 @ Hwy 5 (the exit after Chapel Hill Rd). I figure that you guys will get there by 7am at the earliest.

You can put me down for bringing brownies. Is anyone else vegetarian, or have a veggie in their family who will be coming? If so, let me know because I will be bringing something veggie for me to eat and it's easy to make some extra. If there will be a grill I can use, I'll bring some veggie hotdogs too.
