hey all, sorry I havent been on, its been a crazy holiday season for us! Husbands clutch bombed on us while in TN when he had to report the next morning.

Ill have him get on here tonight and try to answer the more technical questions...
as far as a meet goes, Im guessing we are gonna try to go for a weekend. Josh should get his schedule in next few days, Ill post then some dates up for consideration and we can go from there!

what color was your oil when you checked it? was it foamy? could have a blown gasket. Or is it more yellowish like rust? Might need to flush your radiator. Either way I would get it towed to mazda and have them do a diagnostic. Is your engine still under warranty?


As far as saving gas......the intake you posted seems kind of.....well.....shady. Not something I would even think about putting in my car. Great, thrilling, exciting driving experience I can deal with in trade of sucky gas mileage

so i took the rx8 to atlantic tire and automotive repair (actual really nice ppl) there helpful with a good rep but anyway the motors fried in my car completly shot and meganm_1989 ur heater goes out it could be ur heater core and was the cause of the water getting pushed into the motor on my car so get it checked

 

jimmy, if your motor is shot... if your engine is still under warranty Id take it to Mazda. Chance you will get a new one

As far as my heat goes, husband and I are ripping dash out tomorrow to try to fix that issue.

 

Josh i know your pretty knowledgeable on the 8s. Bout 2 weeks ago i found milky white oil. No problem it was said to be condensation.
Now i just got back from domino's and i stopped at the stop light on Gulick by the road to the shoppette, and it died. I got back to the barracks and my car did the signature soft pop that the rotarys do. Now it dropped to 500 rpms and i pushed the accelerator and brought it up to 2000. It did the pop again and dropped to just under 1500rpm.

WTF!!! Help me please

It was milky its at the dealership were i bought i have 3 diffrent warrantys on my motor m&m has one because its new i bought one and still had one with m&m and bcwiklinski the poppin is what my car was doin same with oil change ur plugs..8s will flood and the foal like a two stroke dirt bike ull see when u pull one and how is ur starts ? if its rough change ur starter NOW it will tear the hell outta ur fly wheel sorry i couldnt show too the meet i should be gettin it back in the next week or so

K so i got my car fixed!!!! yea!!!!!
Turns out that my intake tube worked it way outta my filter tube, hence i was pulling to much air giving my air/fuel ratio really bad. Changed my spark plugs before that was found and they were corroded beyond hell. so new plugs and idle issue fixed, i running fast
