The time is undecided yet..but I think we're going to shoot for 11.

OK..so heres the deal--Until futher notice, it's going to be about 75$ if you want to run little go karts AND run your car on the track! (yay!) If you want to be a party pooper and not, then it's free for you..This day will be filled with lots of fun and exciting things from running karts and cars in the AM, to a cruise to Gainesville for some chillage (and yes that is now and word, and i swear us g'ville people will be there for the chillage!!!) Maybe we can do the whole Hooters thing this time since so many of you seemed dissapoited @ the last meet.

Some of you may be wondering why the meet is so long from now...well let me tell you..it's not easy planning meets!! Especially one that is going to cost a decent amount..i'm working on sponsors so it won't cost AS much! Anyone who thinks they can get a sponsorship or anything for free from dealers or whatever, please do so and then either post it on here, or PM me..THANKS!


Now i need all you little ones to start posting what you think you'll want to do..(like either sit on the sidelines or run with us.)
I hope this sounds like a good plan to you guys...and if not..bitch to somebody who cares b/c i think this is going to be AWSOME!

I guess we could do hooters in ocala...but i was just thinking there is a lot more to do in g'ville (plus i'll be 18 ) so yea...I mean, i can make home from ocala in 15 min...not too bad..anyhoo--we can discuss where/want we want to do laters on...but not a bad idea hun!

lol i liek that one. i think i was the only kid in my high school that did not smoke or do any kind of drug. I have standards and princables its not worth the risk to get high and get in trouble.

The guys at the track are excited to have us coming there. The owner of the track also has a black RX-8 GT Sullivan Watts Mazda is going to participate in some way. If this works out well, we could make this a regular event.

Also a note about the consession carts. These are not the gokarts you go to a putput golf course and drive. These are Birrel Carts made in Italy with 11hp Hondas running them up to about 50mph on this track. They are verry impressive and are good for learning proper line technique for competing in carts or cars.

Hello Everyone. My name is Jeff Wood from Ocala Gran Prix.

I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself and let everyone know how excited we are to have your club attend this event.

August 7th is just around the corner and we are making preparations for your event as we speak. I would like to have your coordinator contact me so the little details can be completed.

The event we have planned so far is a two part event. The first part is race instruction and practice in our endurance karts, the second part is lapping in your own cars.

The lapping session will be timed with our AMB timing and scoring system. Of course bragging rights are included.

I'll keep an eye on this forum if anyone has a question or feel free to contact me via email.

P.S. I just read back at a couple of the "go-kart" posts again. This is not your typical roundy round track. Our track is an eight turn course. Our turn one is taken at 100MPH by shifter karts.

Our Endurance Karts can be setup for 60MPH, hanging 2 inches off the pavement. Four wheel drift and arm pump are guaranteed. Imagine three karts wide moving through a 30 foot wide turn one at 50 MPH. Not exactly for the light hearted. I think you will enjoy all of the events we have in mind just for your club.

I just talked to Bobby Watts from Sullivan Watts Mazda. He is going to be a sponser. He is bring stuff to give away as well as a few cars like RX-8s, Miatas and a 94 RX-7 if he still has it in stock still. I would have bought it if my wife would have let me.

We have less than a month to go. It is going to be a blast.

Glad to hear more about the upcoming event. It's 95% sure that I'll be there, I'm moving the previous weekend so that's where the 5% drop comes in.
I may do the endurance kart but I doubt I'll run my own car. I'd be too paranoid and end up driving grandma speed (no offense to any grandma's out there).
I also won't have my major planned MOD done to my car and that will have to wait as a surprise for a later post or event, but I have a few minor ones (appearance, not performance) done to show off.
Anyway sounds like it will be blast and hope to see everyone there.
