I will be leaving tomorrow to drive to San Diego from Jacksonville, FL

I would like to make some stops at some point. lol. whats meets are going on? who would like togo out for a drive while im on I-10 and get some pics?

ill be in san diego for 2 weeks. the first week and a half ill be able to go out at some local meets. the last part i will be in SERE school camping...lol

after that ill be moving back to hawaii

 

make sure you have an extra bottle (or two) of oil in the car for the trip.
drive safely!

 

picked up 2 quarts of 5w30 and a 5 gallon gas tank...

 

you should be good to go now that u have the oil and gas i made a trip from oc to albany in my 8 and it didnt give me any trouble (knock on wood) juss a heads up you might wanna invest in a clear bra or put a few coats of wax on the front and dont wipe them off or use painters tape to protect ur paint on the front end and the front edge of the roof and side mirrors to be safe

 

yah i use painters tape a lot...my front end has a lot of knicks in it...dont really care now...im going to get a ms front end when i get to hawaii. then use the stock one for autox

im in baton rouge right now...managed to run over a invisible medium pulling in somehow to the hotel...**** i was tired

now i have a weird noise...**** my life

 

im about 140 miles away from el paso...place called van horn...**** this is a devastating drive...

my car now makes a funny (fluttering-very loud) noise when im stepping on the gas...and there seems to be some power loss with it also

was the noise always there or just after you hit the bottom?

 

nah, when i hit the bottom there was some weird suspension noise, but only at low speeds and turning...cant hear it anymore

now theres a loud fluttering noise coming from the engine when i step on the gas.
i stopped and had the oil changed and coolant flushed when i was in el paso

now im in tucson

 

That's a long drive, man. I drove from Tampa to Los Angeles about 12 years ago. I-10 almost all the way! Damn, Texas was the worst. Two whole days of practically nothing - hardly even a gas station.

SERE in San Diego? you NAVY? driving thru Texas does suck.... hope you dont get 4 tickets in Arizona..... they have soo many cameras everywhere there.
