Seriously, it's a device used to measure the RWHP of your car. You park your car on it, and run it in gear on these huge rollers, and the device reports torque/hp..

Some RX-7 guys are looking to do some dyno tuning with the famous Steve Kan at Titan...no lock on the date but they are looking at April 24.


If you do not know who Steve Kan is, he has consistently been runner-up to Ari Yallon in the street class and has a low-10 second, high 9's third gen RX7. He's also the owner of www.gothamracing.com and has extensive experience with the Haltech, AEM and Power FC/Datalogit combos (Microtech too probably). Right now we have four interested and need at least one more to pull this off. I'm trying to persuade the group to get Steve out here April 24, same time as the rotary meet in Orlando. I believe we'll be using Titan Motorsport's dyno. This is a very good opportunity to let someone knowledgeable not only with turbocharged rotaries, but with most of the modern ECU's. He has an excellent track record and I have yet to hear a negative comment about his tuning. And tuning on a turbocharged rotary is THE MOST important "mod" and an absolute necessity. Good tuning can make a 30hp or more difference EVERYWHERE in the powerband, not just up top. Here' s a link to the thread on rx7club.com:

Website update.... www.MazdaNow.com is officially ours. It's for nuttin but pictures of our cars, wallpapers and creations. Plus we get 400 pop email accounts. Tonight I'll work on creating nicer headers and maybe some flash.

If you haven't posted your pictures there yet, lemmee know. I created this site so that drivers could post pictures of their cars without them eventually getting buried under mountains of new threads.

Ok people! My mini-update! I contacted Titan and I'm pretty sure we'll be able to not only get the parking lot, but the dyno too! yay! hehe. I should know tomrrow for sure...and i'll post how much it is to dyno and all that fun stuff. I'm so glad this is coming together! yay!!!!!

seriously though...have we determined what kinda cars we're going to let join us? i've got a bunch of friends dieing for a dyno day...i say we just limit it to high end japanese cars, so our s2k buddies can join in without the rest of the brand H crew following in.

 

I think the wifey is going to come. So the hoe situation is on lockdown for the time being. Imma try and talk her into it being a guy day and stuff and see if I can talk her out of it. I'll see what I can do. I'll either be able to get a ton of girls to come or none lol. Well as far as what kinda cars turn out I would like to see just the higher end japs also. The integra and honda kids would do nothing but try get us to race them all day.

 

FYI:

If the RX-7 guys run on the dyno with Steve Kan tuning, there may be limited time there. People will be on the dyno for at least 45 minutes at a time...with at least 5 signed up to do it.

Still not definite for Steve Kan Tuning on the dyno for the 24th so all this may be a moot point.
