Craziest thing happened to me right in my own neighborhood last weekend...
This middle aged man in flagged me down while I was driving thru Hamilton Mill Parkway over the weekend....I made the mistake of pulling over to see what he wanted...
He began asking me questions about an accident that apparently happened in the Hamilton Mill Neighbor right on the parkway...during the summer of 2004...
There was a Mazda RX8 like mine which is Silver in color that was racing a silver truck...hehehehe...I hope the truck was left in his dust...
Anyway-this guy kept asking me if I had anything to do with that accident....like I was the one racing that truck that day?????
The truck ended up hitting him and his family headon....and he said that witnesses state that the RX8 took off and did not stop after the truck lost control and hit him head on....
I told him that I was new to this area and had just bought my 8...but he kept on asking if I knew anyone with an 8 and I pled the 5th....It seemed to bother him...
The strange thing is that this guy started telling me that the Gwinnett Police and Investigators have located that the driver of that RX8 that was racing the truck that hit him...He said that the driver of that truck memorized the tag of the RX8 that he was racing and turned it over to the Gwinnett Countys DA office and Police and Investigators....He went on and bragged and said that the RX8 driver does not even know that they about to arrest him in a few weeks....
I thought to myself.....Self-then if you know this-then why in the heck did you flag me to pull over??????
I guess he does not like 8's and that is his problem....
With that said...do you any of you know about this accident? and have any of you ever been accused of something like this???

ps- I did not even own my 8 back in the summer of 2004 in case any of you are wondering.....and I would have stopped to help if I had been a part of that accident even if I was just racing side by side a red neck truck get er done guy!

 

I just can't understand:

1. Why you stopped in the first place?
2. Why did you stay to hear this stupid story from him?
3. Why you even bother asking about this if it has nothing to do with you?
4. Why did I just read and took time out of my saturday to write this?

If it wasn'y you then why do you feel accused? In spanish I'd say "el que nada debe, nada teme" (Sorry, wouldn't know how to translate it)

ok, he's baming the 8 owner when the other dude was DRUNK??!! What a tool.

 

I know this guy who has had his silver 8 in the garage since summer 2004. He keeps saying he's waiting on getting new plates....that's why he's not driving it. I hope nobody flags me down and asks me about it. Just kidding...great story.

 

Thanks mcaul...I read the google and the story sounded true...so I checked with the Gwinnett Police Dept and the accident did happen...and there was a Silver or Gray(Titanium) RX8 and a Silver F250 drag racing on HMILL PKWY that caused that wreck...THe police report states that witnesses did confirm that a Silver 8 was part of the accident but did not stop when the head on accured...The GP are indeed looking for this 8 since the 8 did not stop....The GP INvestigators has the RX8 as a hit and run.....
I also read in my HMILL website newsletter that this head on crash victim is offering
$25,000 for any info leading to the confirmation of the driver/owner of the RX8 that was involved on that day...
I must say...I am tempted to try and find who was driving a Silver or Gray RX8 during the summer of 2004 so that I can collect $25,000....that would almost buy me another 8!!!
any one know anything about who may have been driving an 8 back then in this area????

FYI.... this accident really did happen....you can check it out for your self with the Gwinnett Police Dept....like I did to to confirm...and yes the Expedition did blow up after catching on fire...read the report...

I read your google attachment....thanks....but how did you find that info on google...?
I want to try and find more info on Hamilton to help him.....
Obviously-I have met Hamilton and he is the crazy guy who stopped me...but now I am thinking he is not so crazy...but pissed at all 8's since some 8 driver almost took his life...I would be pissed too!....I for one will help him in the name of all RX8 to show him that RX8 drivers do have Integrity.....anyone out there that wants to help....I can use the help...
.PS>.I have his bus card and like I said have met him personally and the office number matches the one on your google attachment...
