hey everyone....ive been getting some mail about the time if you can make it let me know you dont have to be 100% on time ..I know some of us get shitfaced the night before so I understand..so take your time just dont show up at 12 or 1 oclock and expect someone to be there the theory..is that it rains early here in west orange county so im trying to avoid that but rain or shine we are still on...thanks..all

Hello there its Luis here with Champions-motorsports

Here is the itinerary for this sunday the 31st of august RX-8 meet at Champions-motorsports



9:00-10:00 am Roll in to Champions-Motorsports 16333 W Colonial Drive Oakland Fl 34787(sorry I know its kinda early but the early bird gets the worm )we will wait for you tired ones..

10:00-11:30am Meet and Greet,talk,get together ideas ect.(wait for the ones that come late..)

11:30 am - 1:00pm Lunch and Judging for car show.(be sure to be here by now because I get hungry early)

1:30pm Raffles,Give Aways and trophies.(if you make it in by 1:30pm now all food is gone and you'll barelly make it on the drive)

2:00-2:30pm Heat out on drive.(Good byes and thanks to all for coming and ideas,dates and times for next meet ,if you make it in now 2:30pm you maybe on your own drive going back home alone.)

We are very exited to meet some RX8 enthusiast and great people.Times may change some depending on how many people show up,what time they show up and also weather.It should be a beautiful day so bring your camera for some nice pics.We hope to have a good turn out, hey its our first meet so we will see how it goes.Try to have at least a half tank of fuel when you roll in.The drive is roughly 50 miles so please don't run out of gas.Any questions please call me Luis @ 407-702-3280.Vollunteers please call me by saturday to coordinate .......thanks again we will see you sunday..

I keep an umbrella in the car, might bring a rain jacket.

Gave Cam a call earlier today, the ride's all trailered up and ready to roll up.

Rain or shine, should be fun. Looks like a pretty good turnout.

 

Damn it...................would like to show, but eldest daughter is in town this weekend and have plans.
Does appear that it will be a good chance of rain.

I know it's late and you may not get this in time... but count The Bee +1...but just like he ^ said...

 

That was fun, specially the drive for the ones that stayed. Little bit of rain but i had the sun/moon roof open and both windows down and didnt get wet.
I took some video of the drive, if anyone knows the best way to convert .3g2 files into avi, divx, mpeg, or anything regular, let me know. Hopefully one that i can turn off the sound, because i didnt think about when i was taking it that i had all windows full down, AC on max, and radio at as loud as it will go without distortion. I wonder if you can still hear the engine over all that...
But yes, good meet, even though i didnt get to meet everyone cause i was over an hour late and very very hung over and on very little sleep. Also i fell down the stairs at lattitudes.

also thanks to rote8 for stopping when i had to stop for oil and mr. policeman came to say hi, also pointing out that i need new rotors.

Pretty eventful day. Would like to do most parts of it again sometime.
