Naples Florida and several other sites around the state received their first two RX8's. I was told that one would be used as a demo only and would not be for sale until some time late fall. Strictly for joy riding! :-)

Oooh, you're not going to want to hear this then....stopped by the Ft. Myers dealership and they had TWO as well, one blue (sold, owner was picking it up!) and a yellow one which looked absolutely fantastic! It's the dealer demo car too. I'll be there tomorrow driving it! It'll show up soon, no worries.

I saw the blue today too. Looks soo much better in person.
I'm going to drivr the yellow one tomorrow too!!

I ordered mine on 10 January....can't figure out why these two came first???

I visited Fort Myers Mazda in April of this year and the inventory manager tols me that they were getting 39 RX-8's for stock over the summer months! I was there looking for a Miata with Titanium Grey so I could actually see what the colour looked like.

Both dealers in Tampa got some too. Courtesy got 2 Black one preorder sold and the other (titanium) not. I wonder if it's a dealer demo. The salesman told me I couldn't test drive it until I was approved for financing. Anyone else get the same response with the dealer demos?
I told him I had the loan approval paperwork in my car and he just shrugged it off like it didn't matter. He did say it was for sale so now that I think about it I guess it must not be the demo car.

Ferman has at least one (blue) my dealer: Zippo, Zilch and he has the highest allocation in the area...so he says (40 now).

I called one of the salesmen (his name is Bill, knows his stuff too!) and the yellow RX8 is down and out. Bad fuel pump. New one won't be here for six weeks and it's NOT a demo car as first thought. That means no drivie drivie. Funny, 50% of the RX8's that have come to SW Florida have had problems. Not a good sign. Morande in Naples had a silver automatic that reset itself every time you opened the door. Talk about ground issues!

Lucky for us that Mazda had thier Engineers go to the port and verify that each car was in perfect running order.

what happened on the blue one in Fort Myers is the financing fell thru for the buyer and it became available Sat. I, waiting for silver relinquished my order and fell prey to the blue! Fantastic color.

I drove another blue GT today with the app pkg and nav......it was SWEEEET!!!!!

You chose a good color! Congrats!

I'm still waiting for my ti touring w/ app pkg and wing, and it's damn frustrating!!!
Driving one, however, was helpful....WOW!

uh well today I spoke with my salesman at the Fort Myers dealer
and the yellow one was sold 7/23 to a salesman there. I also noticed on my car 3 campaign stickers under the hood with part numbers applied at the port in Jacksonville. This car was in the first batch checked off 6/25 and then sat through at least 7/7. The dealer got it 7/14 so they must be checking them out at port.
