Hey guys sorry to interupt the post here but I was in B-Ham last week visiting some friends. Just wanted to warn you guys (especially the ones with suspension changes) that I-20 through Anniston and that stretch is pretty rough, neither lane is good. I don't know if you guys are going that way or not, but just a heads up either way. My wheel and tire combo made for some real teeth rattling through there, lol. Sorry I can't make it this weekend, will enjoy seeing the pictures. Have a safe and enjoyable trip.....

I can bring a cooler, same one I had at the last AutoX, it holds a good amount, but probably not enough space for everyone, we will probably need at least two coolers.

 

Hold on? about the only advice I have. I think the stretch lasts for about 15 miles or so. Seemed like forever for me, trying to hold wheel and listening to change rattle in the ash tray, lol. It might not be bad with 18s though, I just have no sidewalls.

 

There are no seats at Barber (except for the inside VIP area) so you will all need lawn chairs. Bring coolers and snacks. There are plenty of trees for shade, and be aware that a lot of the viewing area is sloped. The place is beautiful. You can see about 80% of the track from anywhere, so you can just about set up anyplace. What time are you guys expected to arrive?

 

I think the plan is to arrive around 9:30 AM (your time) at the track.

 

The plan is to still meet at MAZCARE at 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning, correct?

Do we know how many are driving, or are we going true car club style, and in american fashion, all of us driving. :D

If not, lets try and get a list of all those driving. I for one know I will drive, I am a lousy passenger, and don't mind putting the miles on.

I'll more than likely drive up from down here that morning. I should be bringing a friend of mine up.

 

Whether I can go or not is still up in the air. We are supposed to arrive back from vacation the day before and my miata is not back together yet.
