Hey, one of my friends told me about a general meet the first Thursday night of every month, at the Varsity (North Ave Exit) in downtown Atlanta. It's a bunch of imports, and tricked out cars that just go to show off... anyone want to go? It would be cool if we could get a couple 8's together and take up some space... I'd like to meet some of the Atlanta area group, and just meet n' greet?

I'm going, and will be there likely circa 9pm unless the weather really sucks...

that makes three so far. Dalton only has about 4 8s running around total and i doubt that any of them would get into these kind of things. But I'll see if I cant organize a nice size group. BTW what colors we got going?

I went to one of these get togethers a couple months back. Met a bunch of 7 rotorheads but only one other 8 showed up. We were parked on the upper deck looking down on the VW's and Civic's (literally, not figuratively). There was even a rare Skyline there which drew quite a crowd.


I may be up for it. Time?

Well it is washed and waxed now. Wish I could have spent more time on the wax because I noticed I missed a spot buffing the wax in this morning. Oh well

OK folks! I'll see y'all there around 8pm. Does anyone want to meet somewhere specific? I think we should meet in the back -right of the parking lot, past the parking deck. (when you drive in off of North Ave) go back and then to the right, behind the mini-wall (you'll see what I mean). We can all hang out and park back there and chill out! I'll see you guys then!

Good time last night. Cool, Clean Cars and greasy onion rings. When I go to my happy place this is where I wind up.

More 8's this time around, which is good. GA RX-8 Club had six reps, I think.

A few. I will post them tonight. Light was fading so I didnt get many. Got RX-8's (of course), a shot looking down on the masses of VW's and Nissans and such. Got a Skyline and a Maserati pic, too.

Lotsa different cars showed up. G35s, NSXs, Zs, Scions, Civics and Sentras all were there. Quite a mixer.

I particularly liked the John Deer Green Honda with hydraulics. Slammed it down so low that he ripped the rear bumper off and was dragging it around the parking lot. Too funny. Didn't get a picture cuz I didn't want to waste pixels.:p

Thanks for coming out everyone! I will post pictures I took last night as soon as I get myself home today (circa 9pm EDT). I'm glad we had about 12 8's there last night... although we all ended up on the top deck :-)

Thanks to who ever it was that moved so I could part up top, the guy in the truck :D

My favorite moment was when that poor, poor RX7 and the moron driver went over that little high-lip and missed the rear tire... and bottomed the 7 out (OUCH!)... he had to DRAG it off the concrete and quickly sped away... wow, wish I had that one on video - that would have been a CLASSIC.

Hey everyone, my friends and I all had a great time last night. Thanks for being hospitable to the GLI and the Z. The VW members there were being ****** so they wanted to hang around us. The Z felt out of place, except for the GTO and couple of Mustangs there werent many V8s be he said he really enjoyed seeing 20+ rotary cars in one place. Cant wait to hang out again...which will be this Sunday I guess.
